Yep, except in low-light or unstable situations. I think I might wait for the "Phase 3" Lumia next year, maybe it will be the best of both?

Yes, it is. But in certain situations (scene shots at night) where the Xenon flash will not come into play, the 920 should provide a better result. Also, in the case of video, the OIS is a big plus. Of course, the 808 provides lossless zoom, which is pretty amazing. As well, the large sensor PureView approach with the 808 means low light noise is greatly reduced. All around, the 808 defintely has the better camera..it's just in certain use cases where the 920's camera has specific design advantages.

Do you guys think of something greater than this?
You ever dream of the 920 combined with 808??
Do you even realize what it could do to mobile cameras? It will kill all of them. Of course it is still a l'le far fetched as of now but i doubt i will take more than a decade...darn! I'm drooling.

I'm expecting something along those lines for "Phase 3", hopefully next year.

Yes. Light works the same in Korea as it does in Finland.

Wrong!
Nokia's homeland is Finland and this video was taken in Russia's capital Moscow.

I agree we can't compare Nokia 808 PureView with Nokia Lumia 920, Nokia Lumia 920 is much better.

not really mate, there 2 differant ways to do a camera cant compare then

the 808 focuses on oversampling and getting noiseless pictures and the lossless zoom which is a great feature-pureview phase 1

the 920 is about excellent low light pics and stabilty thanks to that floating lens -pureview phase 2

both have there merits

so back to your comment the 920 isnt better

Sony and Samsung sold stand alone cameras too, so they didn't want their phone camera better than the stand alone camera. Nokia didn't have stand alone camera so they packed their best camera inside the phone but with WP OS it is bad luck for Nokia.
