Nokia's E55 gets clean bill of health from Doc FCC

Nokia's E55 has made it through the FCC. Carrying what the Finnish manufacturer calles a "compact Qwerty" keyboard that resembles the 20 key BlackBerry SureType keypad, the device also is equipped with a 3.2MP camera with a LED flash and digital zoom. Its 2.4 inch screen will display over 16 milion colors and a stereo FM radio is on board, all packaged in a thin housing that is only 9.9mm thick. Pricing of the handset is expected to be 265 Euros when it is launched soon in Europe. That works out to approximately $371 U.S. Dollars, although plans for a U.S. release are not yet known.
