Nokia video reveals the power of Rich Recording on the Nokia Lumia 1520

The Nokia Lumia 1520, for the moment, is the flagship Nokia and Windows Phone device. Nokia has worked hard to make the Lumia line the preferred smartphone line for camera buffs. But when it comes to taking videos, which is part of the whole photography experience after all, the video is only part of the final product. The audio also needs to be sharp, loud, catch every noise and everything being said...

I already know the power of rich recording.. The 920 has dual HHAC mics, the 1020 has 3 mics, and the 1520 has 4 HHACRRMics!!!..
I've had a chance to recently test the sound recording capabilities out on my 1520, and it was nothing short of amazing..
just thing, the 920 blows pretty much every smartphone out of the water with its recording capabilities,, just imagine how good the 1520 is.. This is not your normal smartphone audio capture!!
Lumia, WP devices are awesome!

dont forget HTC One has the same HAAC mics in it, it was sued by nokia btw for that:) Here is a nice video comparison with galaxy s3, which was destroyed!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v

Oh yeah, I forgot about that..
But, the mics in the 1520 are switchable between non directional, and directional in settings, there are 4 total, and they are the first on a smartphone to record in stereo...
I'm sure that HTC One sounds amazing, but there is nothing, yet, that compares to the fidelity of the 1520..
But, I think HTC devices are top notch, and I hope they can succeed.. I just think they'd be better off focusing on WP.. Samsung is killing them with Android... HTC, and Sony, can either give the Lumia line a run for its money if they tried..

#rodneyej1, then u tell which was the first Rich Recording?
Stereo Recording was possible, but not Rich Recording untill 808 joined the battle!

This is an awesome phone but when Nokia will make it record 120 fps at 8K it will blow every other smartphone out of the way. (Better to be android Lumnia :)

and for a rich video recording you've Note 3 with its awesome 4k video recording capability.
Check this video recorded entirely with Note 3 in 4k:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v
Unlike Nokia its not an ad which is almost always biased towards its own product. Remember OIS ad fiasco !

You've got a good point.. The 920, and 1020, have very good video recording capabilities.. I wonder which is better.. The Note3, the 920, or the 1020... That would be a good comparison...
Unfortunately, I wouldn't put the 1520 in that bunch.. It takes amazing pictures, but video?... Lol.. Lets just say I'm waiting for a update to the algorithm.. I know the 1520 is capable of shooting amazing video,, it just needs more work.. Seriously more work...

The note 3 is has epic video quality 2nd to the lumia though, just wish it had a stabilization feature

Well, from what I've experienced myself with my 920 video quality is next to amazing for a smartphone.. I'd have to see how good the Note 3 is in person before I can pass unbiased judgment...
Hey, why don't some of you guys start making fun of how the 1520's video capture sucks... That way maybe the word will spread, and Microkia will give us a patch.. Lol❕

are you some stupid lumia fanboy?

That quality on the Note 3 is incredible. Sadly I have a slow computer so the video lags lol, but seriously makes me want a Note 3 (even though I probably won't record in 4k)..

4k is cool... Either way the screen on a Note3 is far superior than what you have on your computer... Don't let that hold you back from enjoying the Note 3 now.

I have the Note 3.
And i will buy myself the Lumia 1520 asap. Looks like a sexy beast of a fone. I love the UI as well though Android is still my daily driver, but we'll see what the 1520 has in store for me haha

Whatever you do just install the app folder system for the startsceen.. It's one of the best new features of WP8.0-3Black...

Audio is awesome, But its video recording capabilities are average at best. Video record behind other competitors.

I would say that it's less than average.. It sucks..
