Why does Nokia Keep wasting money on colored back covers, Back Covers won't be the deciding factor on what phone to get and Windows Phones won't sell as well as they where until WP8 comes out because many people know that all current Windows Phone will not be upgraded to WP8

What else can it do for the next three months? Atleast the pink one will sell a bit more among the fairer sex.

RTA.
The 900 series are solid polycarbonate, no covers or anything. You're thinking of the 710, which was a few articles back

The reason these current WP are not getting a full WP8 update is because, most of the changes in WP8 are in hardware. You can't make a single core into dual core just by updating your phone. Neither a microSD slot will appear on the phone when WP7.5 is updated. And current WP7.5 won't have a higher resolution when it's updated. The thing is, these current WPs will get a 7.8 update which will feature most software updates in WP8. This shouldn't have made people panicking if it's named WP8-lite.

I think the Nokia Lumia 900 is still a fine phone and choice in color is always welcomed in the sea of black slabs we're used to. Like neutralguy said, Most of the changes to WP8 are in the hardware. Windows 7.8 gives Lumia 900 users the basic WP8 software changes, but just in a lighter package. It's like how not all iPhone users get all the features of the next iOS update.

Nokia will support their phones. And yes, waiting on WP8 for us phone geeks makes sense, but a ton of phones don't get OS updates and are well worth the money. There will be new apps developed and goodies from Nokia, so relax. We will see what the 7.8 update contains. I am hoping it is all the available upgrades from WP8 possible.

And I LOVE that Nokia is throwing different colors on their phones. Variety- spice of life and all. Plenty of black phones to choose from.
