By the end of next year, about 7000 Nokia employees will be given the sack due to the company's efforts to cut down on expenses. The difficult decision was announced earlier today in a press release...

No good news here. At least the heads up has been given. I just recently left an auto part plant, and during the 2009 fiscal year, they sliced 7% of our workforce by walking up to people over a three day period, tapping them on the shoulder, and escorting them out. Some really good people too. (My position was cut, but they kept me. Painful cut in pay, though.) Glad these workers have the chance to decide the best way to handle this before the cuts start coming.

Blame Nokia to loose more jobs just because they think their SYMBIAN isn't selling to well so they sold themselves to M$
