NOKIA is badly struggling. Samsung & Apple are like out of reach for NOKIA.

Nokia was out of reach of Apple some years ago, and that will happen again sooner than latter, just because Nokia at this moment is much more innovative than Apple.

I think I'll just let history-in-the-making give you a stiff whiff of realism...

At this moment Nokia (with all the range of phones) is selling more than Apple. In a few months the Lumia line alone will surpass Apple.
Take this words for granted.

"Take this words for granted."
Haha... I think I will! LOL...

I'll give you an example (one retailer from Russia):
Android OS (67.2%)
Samsung’s bada (8%)
Nokia’s Asha (7.7%)
Apple’s IOS (6.9%)
Windows Phone (5.9%)
Nokia’s Symbian (3.6%)
Wait a few month for data from India, Brasil, Mexico and the entire Europe.

I think you just forget Pakistan :) here Lumia specially 620 selling well .. which still isn't available in India..!!!

Agreed. Nokia may survive, and possibly even thrive, but I doubt that they will ever be again what they once were, or get back what they have lost. Samsung and Apple have never suffered such a drastic crash before, and if they are smart and learn Nokia's lesson, then it is possible that they never will... but who knows...

Oh, I was there my friend. I had to code LaTeX on an iMac... Apple's first foray into their new Mac OS X products. Then the iPod came out, and redefined the MP3 player altogether. Yeah... I was there back then, man! Cool story, huh?

Hopefully, Nokia can come back to the top by these new series.
Wish you very very good luck, you are the best Phone's manufacturer company in the phone history.
Thanks Nokia for this huge favor.

Just mentioned the sale rate of Windows Phone and compared it with the one of Android ans IOS.
This part was really irrelevant to the thread of new lumia series.
Victor. H , you would never ever giving up from bashing Nokia.

Johnnokia is reported by Victor. H for no reason.
Is there anyone know how can we call Phonearena Adminstration?
39. UrbanPhantom (Posts: 909; Member since: 30 Oct 2012)
Victor H probably has a short position against Nokia. He has never claimed otherwise, and until such a declaration is made public, his words and opinion about the financial state of Nokia and products they bring to maket should be ignored...

Always welcome to see phones available in every aspect.

I expect Nokia to increase volume, especially with the Lumia 620 becoming available in more countries.
People should give the Lumia range a chance, it has really shaped into something very nice.

if only MS can get their act straight..... lots of features from WP still missing... some are listed here
HDR functionality in camera
1080P resolution support for display
password manager in internet explorer
proper skype integration
better camera kernel to support different camera innovations by nokia and htc in a single camera software (i.e. allow slightly different ui to accommodate Zoe, Nokia Lenses, etc.)
Better speech recognition and client
Faster animations so the phone does not seem sluggish (it is not slow in reality but thanks to the animations it seems that way)
Individual sound control
Bring all those to WP7.x as well.... hardware wise it can support all of the above...
27. kushki (Posts: 46; Member since: 19 Nov 2012)
there is more...
allow app closing in multitasking view
28. Sterijoana (Posts: 32; Member since: 18 Feb 2013)
Better post your suggestions to WP central
32. lansky1213 (Posts: 11; Member since: 31 Jan 2013)
Well I go for the underdog, that being Nokia and HTC this time. It use to be Samsung but now that they are on top with apple they got lazy. The galaxy line use to be premium now they use it for every little thing they think of. Build quality has always suffered and no real innovations. People will soon get tired of spending there money on cheap fragile plastic hardware. The industry is will soon be evenly spread in a few years

i wish nokia will continue symbian!!! i mean 808 PV, the last and greatest symbian, the spec on its hardware isnt impressive to the eyes of fandroids! a 10 year old chip, single core, 512mbRAM(but still can match the power of a quad core with 1/2GB RAM) and the screen isnt HD, thats the spec of a low end phone right now!
i mena why nokia is fooling people with asha? they use the "smartphone" name on it but its not even a smartphone, it cant multitask like symbian (and it is the greatest advantage of symbian, multitasking and power efficient) and the spec of the ashas now are also single core 1GHz just same as the 808PV(i think it was overclock to1.3GHz same with the 701 which originally it only has 1GHz)
so nokia, if you dont want android or huawei or samsung will eat your current bread and butter (the feature phone and the asha is currently nokia's bread and butter, not the lumia's and also symbian still sold more even it is not heavily market as the lumia) you better bring them a real smartphone OS!!! and besides symbian belle is already modern, and its app ecosystem is quite decent for low end market, and symbian isnt hardware hungry like crapdroid!!! so ditch that s40 and go for symbian!! a real smartphone OS!! not that s40!! and it will suit well on that market!!

Phone saler in MY said that Nokia itself is controling about 20% of its OS. That is windows os, asha, symbian as well as Nokia os.

41. platformwars (Posts: 49; Member since: 14 Sep 2012)
What Nokia and MS have to do is target Android rather than iOS.. the WP OS is for people who are iOS users as the OS is Dull... My mom has a Nokia Lumia 920 and she loves the change from her iPhone 4s.. But im an Android user and after using the phone for a couple of hours everyday am convinced that I will never shift to WP.. There are still tons of things that WP cant do as compared to Anroid and another Ton of things that Android simply does better.. The Camera and the looks of the phone are probably the only things that I like about the device(Which is thanks to Nokia and not MS)..
So MS has to do something about their OS and do it fast to make it more appealing to the Android users.. Maybe something like what HTC has done with their new Sense 5..
But MS needs to act fast otherwise Nokia will be just waiting for their contact to end and will jump the Android ship too.
