After Nokia's disappointing year, three key board members will step down, hopefully laying the foundation for a stronger recovery in 2012...

FYI, one bit that should be mentioned here is that Marko Ahtisaari (the guy who introduced the N9 to us and is behind the design used for that as well as the Lumia 800 and 900) has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Design.

well deserved, Nokia's craftsmanship and industrial design are 2nd to none - top of the line!

It pains me to see how these sites and analyst project doom and gloom for the ones that they don't care for or rather how they'd like to see things turn out.Typical american bias and rhetoric. Just say it long enough and it's well recieved. Nokia is not going anyware no time soon. God help us!

Whatever anybody says, even given the crazy things I have said about them in the past year, I hope Nokia turns out okay. They gave me a great run of fantastic devices for a long time. My all-time favorites have always been Nokia's. I may not have the means, or an excuse, to own a smartphone anymore, but if I did I just might be tempted to leap onto the Nokia Windows Phone bandwagon just for old-time's sake.

Betting solely on Windows is not smart. But the head dude over there used to work at Microsoft, so they're putting relationships above company growth and profit. It's not worth avoiding the trolling fees that Windows charges others handset makers that use Android, if the WP7 phone is not selling as fast as it should. Friendship is friendship, but business is business.
