Nokia presents four camera apps that can improve your Lumia Windows Phone handset
Nokia’s Windows Phone handsets already have great photography capabilities (at least the high-end models do: Lumia 1020, Lumia 1520, 920, 925), but there are ways to make the camera experience even better. One of them is to use third-party applications.

A recent post from the official Nokia Conversations blog highlights four Windows Phone 8 apps that may deserve to find a home on your Lumia (assuming you don’t have them yet). Read on to see why.

4Blend HDR is an application that seems to offer great results. As its name suggests, 4Blend HDR uses High Dynamic Range functionality to make your photos stand out. It relies on Nokia's Imaging SDK, adding an “award-winning multi-layer HDR algorithm”. Its features include RAW rendering, voice command, and various scenes to choose from.

Smart Resize is the winner of Nokia’s 2013 Future/Capture imaging hackathon. It features a content-aware scale algorithm that allows users to easily eliminate unwanted people or objects from a photo. Nokia presents the app as being “ingenious.”

Remote Shot Beta can turn a Windows Phone handset into a surveillance camera. It connects to another WP device via Bluetooth, live-streaming images to your own phone.

TapShoot can also be used like Remote Beta, connecting two WP8 devices, but adding NFC support, 19 effects, and the ability to remotely use flash.

4Blend HDR, Smart Resize and Remote Shot Beta are free, while TapShoot costs $0.99. You can find links to the apps’ Windows Phone Store pages below.
