See I love competition just like the next person, but I really think Nokia & WP need to slow their roll just a little. I mean it's good to have swagger but after you at least do something in the mobile space.

WP is starting right now to release dual-core phones when Android is now into quad-core phones with 2GB of RAM. I could really understand if they were a firm in the mobile game but their recent achievements include finally outselling RIM is really not that huge of an achievement. Bada has more phones than WP.

I really want to root for Microsoft. I really like Windows 8 a LOT. Their new Nokia's are very nice & sexy but to take such a blatant shot at the top dog Android to me seems very arrogant & not very well played.

I think Microsoft & Nokia should be humble & make some noise & then start to talk but right now it looks more like cheap talk than something we should take seriously. It’s almost embarrassing to talk when you don’t even have a foot to stand on.

You know what i'm thinking? Nokia has something planned...i think they might release something different. Why would they keep poking their nose where it don't belong? I might be wrong here...but you know, the official release date is today, but why would they leak pictures of their phones if today's the date? It doesn't make sense. Those pictures might be prototypes...getting me?

You know what, I am starting to think that way too. It just seems so unlike Nokia to be doing all of this.

Have to wait and see to make it sure. According to Nokia, ATIV was a warm up act. If those phones pictured above are the 'thing' supposed to outperform ATIV, I'll find another phone brand to put my trust on. Lol.

Oops I meant to thumb you DOWN.
Android sells 7million in a week.
Wp sells 7 million in 9 months.

Remember Nokia promising big for the wp 7?
"Lumia 900 will blow your socks off!"
"We will disrupt the eco system order"(MS &Nokia promises TWO YEARS AGO

Pathetic is an understatement

It's easier to trash-talk than to compete.

The Nokia lumias have probably been the slowest selling handsets we've had in years,I remember Nokia reps telling us to expect huge sales figures from them,we laughed then, now we don't laugh, too much unsold wp stock backlogging and not within a sniff of being sold. Wp8 will generally be no different.

From Nokia's point of view they have to come out fighting here as its sink or swim for them, unfortunately for Nokia they've jumped onboard a ship called windows which already had hit ten icebergs

That might be true, but android has so many phones running it, which most are trash, so of course it will sell more, than doesn't mean anything. Quality over quantity.

Android also has high end phones so would that mean quality and quantity? The low end phones are there to cater to the less fortunate and the high end to cater to those looking for top of the line edge of cellphone tech. I am still looking forward to trying W8 phones simply to check out the new OS but Nokia is getting an "Appletude" I went from being an Apple fan (said loosely) to an Android fan (with an open mind) but to be honest until Nokia/MS push something crazy it will be a very slow uphill grind.

Im not syaing there are no high end androids, there aobviously are, some that I would own myself, but apart from those, the majority of the phones on android are trash. Low end phones, yes made for the less fortunate. Windows phone doesn't have of too many of those yet, so It isn't fair to compare sales with android.

Then compare the S3 to the highest selling Nokia phone and the 4S what do you get? Difference between the new Android phones is they are pushing for new tech.. Apple is adapting old tech to their phones. Nokia is good when it comes to style and trying but its like a race.. if you fall as hard as Nokia did and broke your ankle.. its pretty hard to catch back up to those in first place. I mean no disrespect to Nokia. But to say its unfair to compare is just silly. Lower end Android phones are not even all that bad they just don't have the required hardware to run such a resource hungry OS. As its been said a million times.. if Android was just an app drawer even the garbage phones would run smooth as butter. Also keep in mind all the new phones coming with JB project butter included will be silky smooth even on a mid-range. Windows is a lot like Apple in the sense they don't like making low end.. they just like selling the previous model for cheaper

I never said comparing the phones is unfair, I said comparing sales is.
Imma have to disagree on that one, lower end android are garbage. Have you used a windows phone? It hasn't lagged on me once, and I've had it since windows 7 came out. I had the galaxy S 4g before this samsung focus, and that galaxy S lags way too much, and it was one of the higher end when I got it. Yeah Jelly Bean might change things, but even if it does, wp7 already did what they are bearely doing, lag free devices. And yes even the lower end wp7

So your saying Windows Phones are ahead of the curve? lol. Ahead of Android in the sense of an OS? Perhaps more capable at completing tasks?? People whine over Android lagging but do they have a new Android or a free one? You get what you pay for.

When we are talking about lag, and easy to use yes. What else would you need from a phone? Tell me, have you used a windows phone? Have you used the keyboard, no other phone comes close to it. The more important and useful things you use a phone for, im confident windows is better. Android is more advanced right now for sure, but in actual necessities, its nothing special.
Like I said there are so many lower end android phones that people have just because they are cheap, they didn't have a choice. Once windows start making lower ends that are made to compete with those android phones, im very sure people wouldn't go for those android phones. Im talking from experience, I haven't always had the highest end phone, and that lag is irritating, soooo irritating. You don't get that with windows phone.

Why they are so pathetic? It's like the school bully that tries to emerge by humiliating the others instead improving himself.

Greedy Windows over free Linux...sorry I made my choice. Nokia, I preferred you with Belle.

Actually it's not the lies or false stories when it comes to the latest Android firmware. It's the fact that they remain silent throughout each new update but they are changing. Samsung and HTC are kept on their toes.

well its all bussness strategy not to keep updating old phones othervise people may not always get new one after a year or 2 it implies to all OEMs

It's simple: because they can't beat Android with action. MS is pathetic all along, I hated it when MS rejoiced after SS lost the Apple case. And how many times MS top man Ballmer talked down competitors.

MS does not deserve respect.
