Nokia extends mobile patent licences to Samsung for another 5 years, price TBD

Nokia sent out a presser that it has extended the secretive agreement it had with Samsung on mobile related patents for another five years. The kicker is that the price Samsung will have to pony up will not be known until 2015 rolls in...

It is still a matter of "arbitration" and fees not paid yet. Perhaps Samsung wants same deal from Nokia as it handed out to Apple and was leaked ...

and amazing thing is that, only 5% of nokia patents have been licenced. I wonder how much revenue will be generated if nokia will licence 100% of its patent.

probably enough that they could come back into the mobile game when their agreement to stay out of it ends with microsoft.
