Nokia brings out the Lumia swag: the 920 is the one, not the HTC One

The HTC One is not just a great device all-around, it is also bold with its decision to include an UltraPixel Camera focusing on image quality instead of pixel count…

Wow i know it hurts nokia, but you have to admit that HTC one is a lot better (for the moment)
and BTW why to get angry,is the lumia 920 the last phone that you will produce: NO
im sure the next phone from nokia will be exciting and i hope (thinner)
i really like windows phone but man they have to upgrade the cpu support to get snapdragon 600 and 800,i know that the current one is enough for os but its not enough for example for gaming and high graphics apps
if they want cool games and cool looking apps, they have to get a better cpu;gpu to attract developers to build apps for it.

"somewhat arogant hot-headed attitude towards its rivals" as if samsung did not do the same with the next big thing ads...
well, at least you can fuel the haterdroidz with this article again to come and bash on Nokia and WP.

Nokia if you want to be the one , design a phone not a "brick"
74. Johnnokia (Posts: 990; Member since: 27 May 2012)
By the way, 50% of phonearena users think that Nokia has the best design.
Just read the poll result which is not finished yet.
Lumia 920 is thick to withstand tons of hits or scratches and nothing would happen to its great build.
On the other hand, people bought the thin Iphone and cover it with a case and then having double thickness of Lumia 920.
Just to protect its fragile body.

where is the poll?

HTC builts beautiful phones and always with latest hardware and guess wht the latest hardware comes at a cost so where they would cut cost well in earlier days it was the the internal storage and battery and now they are cuttin cost on battery again one would thought tht they would learn their lesson by ONE X which was again a beautiful phone and a beast at tht time but had a terrible battery life in my view. So Makin the same mistakes and thinkin tht the result would be different is not smart by HTC

Nokia only adopts this approach when it feels the heat from the competition , like it did with iphone 5 and note 2 , but seriously the mind of mopst consumers wont be swayed by this kind of remark . Whatever phone one has to choose depends more than just taking a jab at others .

PA don't understand it's not a Nokia allegation, it's an image made by someone else.
Anyway, after seeing the HTC One photos they're about right, not photos to be proud at...

Victor, do you know Ali? I see you have the picture of him and his red 920 as the main photo for this article.

"Nokia has now adopted this somewhat arrogant hot-headed attitude towards its rivals while the company itself is struggling to get traction with customers. Is this the right approach? What do you think?"
Really? Could you bring out your fanboyism and bias anymore? Where was this statement when HTC called out nokia's 808? The one's cam can't even touch that now. If you ask me HTC asked for this reply.
Where was this statement when HTC released the infographic dissing the 920 and talking about how their 8x is 20 pennies lighter? Even though the 920 was superior.
Where was this statement when htc showed the most arrogance by dissing every high mp phone cam out there in their press conference?
Personally I don't think its arrogance or hot-headedness for either side, but rather good competition in good fun. Much better than dishing out lawsuits.

You are right. Phonearena wasn't making these remarks when HTC was saying these things but now they are quick to jump on Nokia. The image is a fan made image. That's how lame Phonearena can be. If Nokia was making Android phones this wouldn't even be an article. But since this site likes to bash windows phone, anything to do with Windows phone gets derogatory unprofessional comments also. Pretty lame journalism.

say what you want but BB10,
Sense 5 (One) Android are
copying Windows Phone tiles for
a reason. The market share may
not reflect it but Windows Phone
is the trend setter for what a
modern OS should look and feel
like, since ICS 4.0 and beyond
Android has been flowing WP
footsteps & i am sure next iPhone
update will do the same, they are
all moving away from the small
icons they used to have to now
large Tiles like Windows Phone.

I think nokia feels left out or something, they seem more desperate to draw everyone's attention by having a jab at it's competitors.
81. rusticguy (Posts: 2828; Member since: 11 Aug 2012)
Hinestly such things don't work. If i were to buy a Nokia and i see Nokia doing this crap it would be a big turn off for me. Corporations cannot behave like street side kids.

what about when HTC did the same, or samsung and its attacks on apple?
you loved that whys this different?

Interesting comments from people saying because this has HTC stamped on it and is Android, it is the "best " phone out there.
Now, I think HTC makes some killer devices. I am in my 2nd year with the HTC Titan and the only reason I am waiting for more devices to choose from is the build of this phone.
And those doubting HTC, I will put the 8MP on the Titan against most phones out there (the 920 excepted).
Just the same, there are no real reviews or hands on of the HTC One yet. A few leaked camera shots that leave a lot to be desired (not a real comparison yet).
So I will wait. While I might be pleased if the One or a variant appears on HTC for WP8, I love the aliminum body and slim style of this phone, and so far, there is nothing out there on WP8 to best it (too many other limitations, for example, the 8X is pitifully low on memory...not even a bump to 32Gb.)

While we're on the topic of people using other people's pictures; just wondering why my face is the featured image of this post?
