Nokia beats Samsung and Sony as a most trusted brand... in India

0. phoneArena 30 Jan 2013, 08:43 posted on

It turns out Nokia is still one of the most respected technology brands in some places in the world. Of course, we would always treat Nokia with the respect it deserves, but we wouldn't necessarily put it right there next to the very best manufacturers of the modern history of smartphones. Not yet, at least...

A simple answer to that is people in countries like India value money. They want use of the single penny they spend. I guess these company don't disappoint them in so.

Everybody here in India know about Samsung's bad Quality, whereas Sony's quality is good. but when it comes to Build Quality Nokia is Unbeatable.
And yes i'm a Nokia Fanboy but i currently have a Samsung Galaxy S Advance and it is the best in it's Price Range and one of the best Smartphones ever purchased by me (performance only, not quality wise).

"But Samsung and Sony are tops 'there'..." There? There?
You're not from India so how will you know??
You might know Indians love Nokia but you will never know who's on top unless you analyse it yourself or read it somewhere. Unless you're not sure, don't talk like what you know is the fact.

You are the only one saying the truth and everyone thumbed you down!

I know because I am an Indian and I have the subscription of a magazine called Digit (http://www.thinkdigit.com/ ). They were the ones who conducted the test. Nokia was second and Samsung was first.

Before the bash, here's why I said so...

as much as I manage to persuade people to use iPhone, I just can't deal with this ethnic... 8 of my Indian friends, none of them want to listen my persuasion...

one of my neighbor, Indian as well, who owns a galaxy s3, has a several issue on it and decided to send to the service center, nearby, the repair is free, but it takes two months to return it... Seriously, two months? He loss his patient, and here's my chance to introduce him an iPhone5 :)

but in the end, he bought lumia 920 as an alternative, because he say his wife's Nokia n8 is running like a champ still...

man I thought they just physically strong, but mentally strong too? I surrender :p

It is the same case in Pakistan too, with Nokia. Lately, past couple of years or can say last year was mostly Samsung's year here but as soon as Nokia's Asha with full touch start moving in, you again can see it everywhere.

People of these countries are grow up with Nokia. Loving Nokia is in their nature, there is no other way to put it.

Indians by and large recognize iPhone as an overpriced piece only meant to show off and no more. Imaging iPhone 5 64 GB at 60K. You can get a 125cc bike (suzuki /honda ) for less here :)

no, nokia never tried to brainwash indians, they don't even run enough ads in india......go and ask any indian about any particular ad....they will explain you that the ads are misleading and that you should buy a product that is good and reliable, you should not care about the ads and the salesmen
you will find that the people of the other countries will try to explain how their favourite brand is the best brand in the world
for example, the ifans will start saying bad things about samsung fans(and samsung), and vice versa.....but the indians will talk about how those companies were cheating the customers and that they should talk with each other to select the best device( or the device that is the best compromise between, price, performance and reliability)

thank you.............we(indians) know that fanboism is good for the company, not for the end users, unfortunately, the others don't try to understand this....they let the companies steal all their money....i think they should stop fighting amongst each other.......
