Nokia announces N80 Internet Edition

The Finnish manufacturer has announced the Nokia N80 Internet Edition that will feature some software updates and a slight facelift. It is the same quad-band GSM/EDGE phone with UMTS support like the original N80. The new device will have many web-oriented applications as you can also easily get in touch with your Yahoo! community with the Yahoo! Go for Mobile, whereas you can now share photos taken with the 3-megapixel shooter on Flickr. Also added is Nokia's new Download! client which makes it easier for you to keep your mobile phone up to date with the latest applications available, as well as a Mobile Search application that will help you out when your want to find a restaurant or a place to chill out. Connecting via WiFi will be made easier too, as there will be a wireless LAN wizard to guide you. Using VoIP clients and making Internet calls will be made simple and flawless thanks to the new SIP-based framework.

The Nokia N80 Internet Edition comes in two colors, patina bronze and pearl black, and is expected to be available from mid-September 2006.
