They'd just acquired them last month. Do you really think it only takes one month to come up with a brand new phone ?! Of course, it was developed under Nokia.

You are partially right: but realistically, Microsoft probably had a lot of influence in this phones's development. It uses Microsoft services - the launcher is basically a windows phone clone. That couldn't have been done without Microsoft's blessing and HEAVY INPUT! Its Microsoft's handiwork through and through. Developed under the old Nokia yes, but with Microsoft influence. Remember they had ALREADY pumped in $1 billion long before the final purchase.

What about low-end Galaxies like Galaxy Young, Pocket, Fame, etc.?

all of these are absolutely worthless and lagging
a proper samsung entry level starts with the S Duos 2 followed by ACE 3 4G ( 3G Edition is rubbish) then go on to the Grand Neo and Grand 2
Although it is seriously reccomended not to buy an entry level samsung for the sheer lagginess of touchwiz in comparison to sony ,Huawei, HTC , LG and others

“Because of the necessary hardware upgrades, the Nokia X software platform 2.0 won’t be available on Nokia X, Nokia X+ or Nokia XL. However, more updates will be coming to further improve the experience of those devices in the coming months.”

THE GREAT SCREW-OVER - VERSION 2.0 - This is why Microsoft will get nowhere in mobile. I give them three years - five tops!

I disagree because 1= microsoft will hang in there like they did with XBOX which was not great when it first came out. 2=Microsoft keeps
updating their smart phone OS to get better and better features. 3=
it is going to be the smart phones the Enterprise uses most. 4= it already has most of the most apps people use most even though it does not have as many apps as android and apple smart phones have.

Thats what you get when you buy the first device froma new line... Just like google and google glass... They didnt updated thw original, they made a new version i believe exporer editiom 2 or something like that... Xbox one was also a fail and they changed it for a better and cheaper version without kinect and tv input.... When there is new stuff coming out its better to start fresh than trying to improve devices that didnt do good at first

Damn you trolls stop putting entry level smart phones down! folks the fact is a lot of people
cannot afford or do not want to pay 500 to 800 or more dollars for a flag ship smart phone.
This` Nokia /Microsoft "X2" is an entry level smart selling for 136 American dollars and has
most of the components a smart phone should have including a front facing camera! if it were on sale in the USA people would buy it at that price despite the fact it does not have Google play store apps. The X2 gives Nokia and Microsoft Apps and can get some of the Google Play store apps at other open source android sites on the Internet. Conclusion this an entry level smart phone that's cheap which you can get thousands of apps for that are already available on the internet

Yeah i agree people i comparing them to flagships, but still compared to a moto G, moto E, they seem like better options even my LG F6 which was 100 looks like a better option than one of these devices... But there again nokia still new on android, maybe the x3 or x4 will change since fromx to x2 it changed some stuff in favor of android

Maybe in december we will see x2 XL or X2+ and they will fix the issues people are compaining about

These are good for what they are, cheap, entry-level phones, designed to be phones for folks with less disable income, less interest in fancy gizmos, fewer options to choose from when shopping, "developing economies", or perhaps as a semi-disposable phone for a younger user or someone who needs an in-between unit until they get a better one or replacement.
