The biggest news about Nokia in the last few months seems to be the manufacturer's adoption of Windows Phone as its primary smartphone strategy...

I don't understand what Nokia is doing nowadays - btw Sony does the same. They already have a truckload of phones similar to this. With their background, resources it's unbelievable how slow they are. They had a pretty good start, but what are they doing in the last 2yrs? I had several smartphones from them and they not even in the same league anymore with the new Motorola, HTC, ..etc. smartphones.
I don't like the iphones and will never buy one but Nokia and Sony should have learned from Apple. One phone shaked the whole industry while the big ones were sleeping and even after the 2nd iphone they started to move only at snail speed....

hello world!!!
this is what a phone is for... the primary aspect are present... the phone is for "communication" call and text... now if you want phone for gaming you'll never satisfy your self... go buy game consoles... people are now a days look for features that are not suited for a phone... like hey' a want to watch movies on my phone...(why dont you have t.v. at home or any portable player? are you gonna rely on a smallish diplay which causes eye strain... i really dont understand it... we are really a victim here... maybe someday cellphones can really brew coffee for us... our money can go futher other than this... for me i am a simple person and i want a simple phone...

Sure, however if that's what you need, P.A. is not the best place for you. In fact not the best time either. Those phones were available 10-15 yrs ago (still are). Of course in that time ppl complained about them too, they wanted their landlines.. I guess people before that wanted to write more letters, and not sure what was before that, maybe bird-mail, smoke signals ..etc.
I for one prefer technology and the more advanced is the better. I like to watch vid or play game on a phone if I'm waiting traveling (and I don't drive), but you're right in 1 thing I don't have tv. I have a HUGE projector :)

Why all the hate on feature phones? Sure I have moved on to the smartphone segment myself but there is still a big niche of potential customers who don't need or simply can't afford a smart phone. Asia is a huge market for a phone like this. Not many people will be able to connect online but at least theyll be able to be connected and listen to their music. It's a nice little device that is made for a specific niche. Actually that niche is most likely bigger here in the U.S too. I can't tell you how many times I have to deal with an idiot that wants a smartphone because his neighbor has it, but yet has no idea how to use it or has no use for 3/4 of the features on a smartphone. People try to keep up with the Jones' too much. Get something for what you need and obviously for people like us who lurk the tech blogs these phones aren't for us but they are perfect for other people. There done ranting.

Qwerty on a candybar style basic feature phone? I agree the camera is lacking though. but what do you expect for under 50 bucks
