Nokia Suite 3.6 now supports Lumia phones, lets you sync your Microsoft Outlook info
Share:
Support for Microsoft Outlook sync is crucial in the enterprise environment that is Microsoft's bread and butter, so the latest version of Nokia's sync software, Nokia Suite, now supports Lumia devices as well.
Nokia Suite us used to sync your contact, media and messages, backup your phone, deliver firmware upgrades and load maps of countries od your choosing for the offline Nokia Maps app, and now it delivers those functionalities to Nokia Windows Phones, but also adds Outlook sync.
Thus you can now have your Outlook contacts, mail and calendar entries loaded to your Lumia, and can also download pictures without Microsoft's Zune software. If you have the Suite installed on your computer, the update should be appearing in your notification icon, or you can simply go to Tools, and check manually for it.

While the Zune software isn't bad, I like the Nokia Suite as it'll sync everything between my Nokia Symbian phones and my Lumia, both ways, instead of only syncing up to the Lumia.

it does allow backup/sync messages.
You can even type your text on your computer and send without touching your phone
