Nokia Poland video shows off double height Live Tiles
With speculation that an upcoming GDR update to Windows Phone 8.1 will include double height Live Tiles, a video made by Nokia Poland seems to confirm this. The video was produced to promote the Nokia Lumia 630, one of three current Lumia models that comes with Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box (the other two are the Nokia Lumia 635 and the Nokia Lumia 930) The character that "stars" in the promo is shown stretching out the size of a Live Tile as he customizes the start screen.

The promo also includes some of the new features that are a part of the Windows Phone 8.1 and Lumia Cyan update, such as the Swype-like WordFlow typing capability, Wi-Fi hot spots and the Action Center for notifications.

The three minute animated video is entertaining, and even if you don't favor Windows Phone, you might enjoy seeing how smartphones get marketed in other countries. Simply click on the video below.

and why is that? we have at least 3 platform for the desktop market. WP is welcome addition to the market. the same with other OS like BB, tizen, sailfish, and the other. although I guess BB will be the one closer to be different platform. as it has its own app market, specific UX, and not just run android app which are not optimized for BB.

The one experience is getting even closer with the added large Tile on WP. Just like the desktop.

it's actually entertaining just to read what kind of opinion people have regarding WP, especially from other platform user.

It's just sad a lot of people seem hate WP just to be there. guess this is what troll is. if you don't like it, you can just dismiss the news and move on. why bother to voice your dislike so openly and disregards some people opinion who actually like WP, like myself.

Alan F... Be more professional, please!

"And even if you don't favor Windows Phone"

Why do you feel this is necessary? Give us a good answer, Alan F!... Not the obvious trolls.

Who said he is a paid editor? Troll somewhere else, u can't hide sunshine with ur palm kid, Samsung is firing up the competition throughout the world, before it was Nokia the king of the ring but lost its glory and now it's Samsung, in our region Samsung was considered the second fiddle, but in few years things have changed entirely and people still troll
