Unfortunately for you, the sales results disagree with you, because the iphone just keeps on getiing bigger and bigger. Even those who hated it, not embrace the iphone :)

I can't say the same for this device. It's not even out yet, yet you're already acting like it sold 5 million units, hahahaha

the best article about n9 yet. it deserves all the praise it is getting, if we judge it from the currently available data.

but, i completely agree, it will all depend how fast nokia ships this phone out in the public. it can't be called high end at the moment, in more than 2 months it's specs will be outdated compared to the plethora of phones with bigger screens, more ram, better processing power etc.

nokia needs to ship this fast if they want to take a piece of the market, it looks stunning atm, but that does not guarantee it will still be stuning in december of 2011.

I think people are getting too emotional with brands. Mercedes vs BMW, Toyota vs Honda - you don't see their fans bash one another. But people loyal to Apple, Android and Nokia why do they clash and are so critical to other brands? Can we make peace and just enjoy our gadgets?

Even if Phonearena is pro Apple that will not persuade me to switch to iOS as long as Adobe Flash is not supported. Even when Phonearena is so harsh to Nokia, I'm willing to give Nokia the benefit of the doubt.

You hear that Steve Job? You want me to buy your iPhone & iPad, then allow full flash support in your devices.

The car industry is full of brand-loving folk, and it's a worldwide phenomenon. Best example is probably Australia, with the Ford vs. Holden, VERY competetitve

I am fed up with Android, and iOS isn't even an option for me. I really want to see the Nokia WP7 Phones. Not this garbage. These are the type of phones that have completely ruined their company.

Today I did a little test. I avoided iphonearena.com and decided to check out the news about N9 on other sites. The purpose of the test was to see the reporters reaction to a new Nokia device. On other sites it was pretty standard stuff but everyone was positively surprised with N9. The design, the UI, the smoothness etc. A 180 degree turn from the Nokia we know (or at least the Nokia we know in the last 2 years).
Then i went to iphonearena.com with some expectations. Those expectations were as follows: mentioning all the flaws of the device, predicting a "probably not so good" future, and a negative tone of the review. Guess what i found!

Thank you iphonearena. This just goes to show how much you ADORE apple, and how you always fail to mention the obvious iPhone flaws. If you praise an inovative design and a good UI are you afraid that Apple will be mad at you? Some of the reviewers like android too but they seem to be a minority. Is Apple paying you?

This is a disappointing phone. If they improved the N950 to make it into a consumer device it would be preferable.

I don't understand. Everybody, every tech journalist, is enthousiastic about this phone, its software concept and it's aestics. But phonearena manages it to write a sour article about this very promising phone. Without any ground or arguments. Dissapointing. American?

Said that, you're right about the fact that timing is e,ssential. When the phone hits the market by chrismas Nokia won't sell a lot of them.

What Nokia needs to do is get going with the U.S. carriers and have this subsidized. This full-price selling point has been a downfall of theirs for far too long:yes, no contract, and they can be unlocked, but the initial purchase price is equivalent to many potential consumers' paychecks, which need to be split up to address bills and groceries and such, which is why $200 phones sell so well with a contract.

Im an android fan, but i support this, and will buy it if it's priced correct

Nokia, please consider the fact that your way too late to the market with a new OS, so if you want to make it, if you want to give Meego a chance, price it to compete!
Dont sky rocket price this product.

One more thing, please change the icons to more glassy light reflect, make it more quality icons, ISO Usability:
Effectivness
Productivity
SATISFACTION : FOCUS ON THIS

Looking at the video it does appear to be a good OS. Hope Nokia refines it a bit more by the launch and it'll surely will be capable of taking the competition head on.

let me ask this question again.if hardwear is out dated does that mean the phone wont work?how can a 1ghz with 1 gig ram be out dated?meego doesnt need dat much processing power,av seen 2 core android devices clearly laggin n performing slower than an iphone4.numbers dont mean better when are you fun boys going accept that fact....this device is a record setter just face it. i use an old 3gs wit low processor power yet runs smooth and plays games better than a friends captivate. nokia is welcome to show us something new and we like it...

I like the new model, and laud Nokia for taking the leap. Does anyone remember the original Nokia Internet tablet? They were just a little ahead of the curve waaay back when.. I hope they can find the crest of the newest technology, and ride it to success.

to mado..
hahahaha..are kidding? Did you know that apple lost a lawsuit from Nokia for copying its patent? Steve Jobs and his iCompany paid Nokia some generous amount of ka-ching, now who's wasting money? If they didn't, the next iPhone may never see light..you're funny..hahaha
if you're loving and bragging you're iPhone around, better be thankful to that Finninsh company who basically developed the tech that Apple used to put on their iPhones.

He said that all the apps on the multitasking view are live, but when he pressed on the weather app, it updated, hahahahaha. Also, the video paused when minimized, lol. That's not live, that's app suspended in the background just like how it works on the iphone.

This site seems so negative when it comes to nokia. Calm down guys and give it a chance... to this new product/OS.
The phone looks great, the amoled screen is super bright, the camera seems a good carl zeiss 8MP product, the "swipe" interface looks original and different, simple to use, no keys on the front panel, ... if apple would have done the same, some people would just go mental, just because it's apple!

And why do people always have to fight like kids about their favorite phone or brand?!? This is really stupid. Don't you guys wanna have the choice and respect other's opinion & taste. As soon as something is posted, the comment section turns quickly into a huge garbage can.

I'm not a nokia fanboy or whatsoever (i use a macbook, Ipod touch, Nokia N series, Samsung galaxy S daily) ... I wanna have the choice, that's it. Someone previously said that "I will never buy a I-product because it does not support flash..."
and I agree. This is pretty annoying to have such powerful devices like the i-pad1 or 2, the I-phone 4 with no flash support. A lot of websites are blocked because of that... and the cameras on i-products are really bad, it's not possible to take a decent picture!!
