1.4 ghz interesting. Windows seems to have the idea that ghz does not mean better performance. Cause android needs a powerhouse to run properly but windows runs just as good on single cores imo

All boils down to the apps. If they can cover the apps wanted, it's a great concept. While the apps are growing in Marketplace, there are still gaps (I have a WP7 phone). The ability to handle all the business needs (Office, SharePoint, etc) and have the consumer apps would make it a winner.

So I think for ARM Tablets, we'll also need 1GB RAM

512 mb of ram on a device coming out at the end of 2012... I mean say what you want about the efficiency of windows mobile, but cell phones have had 512 mb of ram since the end of 2009. I suppose that won't matter to the mass market but seems a bit weak to me and to others on this site.

Even though Nokia is loosing market share in recent years we can not say that it disappear from mobile market. They disparately need a good capable leader and a OS platform. I do not know Mr. Elop & Windows can full fill this. We will wait and see.

I think that the screen shape would also be different. Nokias (and WP7 for that matter) are natively "widescreen", so it'd be less square-shaped than the concept illustration above, and less ipad-like. Just my $0.02

I personally think the design is more elegant than the iPad's but I also think the specs for a W8 tablet is on the weak side. But then again, as I surprisingly discovered with my recently-acquired WP7 device, maybe the OS would run great on those less powerful specs.

Why not 16:9 aspect ratio ? I don't like the 4:3 ratio on the iPad becaus of black bars while watching video !

The tablet looks great, in my opinion, though I don't see how this 4:3 screen is going to have a res of 1280x800, which is 16:10... :D
