The Nokia Store has over 70,000 apps..plus I get the whole navigation suite for free, My last 2 Symbian devices have been supported with major updates for over 2 years. For a "dead OS" I'm getting a lot more love than most Android fans after purchase. As for the 808...we shall see. Based on what I've seen from MWC, it's hard not to be impressed...unless you have your head in Cupertino sand.

Actually the Nokia Store has over 120,000 apps and games in it making it the third largest app store in the world. It has also just reached 13 million downloads a day!

Dead OS? It has far more support than Android. Phones like the N8 just got a BIG update and they are from 2010. Remember what happened to the once Android flagship the HTC Desire? Neither do I!

Oooh am sorry Symbian is not dead OS is still the fastest growing OS in the world, Nokia makes more money from Symbian than any other OS, Symbian OS is for smartphones and not for the third world blah blah blah.

Dude wake up and get a real phone smartphone and real OS.

It isn't dead. But I never said it's the fastest growing or makes more money than other OS's. You are just being very silly and you're showing that you don't have a real argument!

Nokia Belle IS an OS for smart phones. How can you deny that! In fact my phone is a Nokia 701. Have you used Nokia Belle? I have features like NFC that is the most integrated on any platform at the moment. I have one of the brightest screens on any mobile. I have 8 GB of memory which is expandable via a MicroSD card. I have USB on the go. I have a web browser that will soon have HTML 5 and it already supports Flash lite. Symbian was the first platform to have true multi-tasking and it still has one of the best integration of it. I can multi-task fully with no lag and 40 applications open, switching between them. I also have fantastic battery life and great speakers and call quality. I have downloaded over 150 quality apps and games which entertain me. I have the best mapping on any OS and I can do all of it offline if I want to. I even have deep Microsoft apps integration and soon I will have full versions of Word, Powerpoint and Excel. So, I know I have a real smart phone and smart phone OS.

What phone do you have?

Well unlike you i accept whats true and whats not your nokia 701 has the brightest screen i will give you that but that's it, ooooh i heard your nokia 701 has sold millions for nokai and is nokia best selling phone people like it a lot and nokia is not in deep s**t and Nokia is no longer abandoning Symbian to MS oooh ooh did i mentions Nokia 701 is nokia best selling phone PLEASE wake up and smell the air dude.

From the world's best tech site Cnet.com to gsm arena to phone arena Symbian is a dead OS weather you like it or not, Nokia's hope would have been the meego OS which any1 who has seen it action would agree is a good OS that can stand in the same league Android & IOS, the improvement you say belle has came to little to late.
FYI i have an iPhone 4, HTC Amaze which has the best camera around until the nokia 808 pure view comes out and the Blackberry bold touch 9900.

sorry pal i have more knowledge on any tech than you can imagine dude.

I am accepting what's true. What were you going to say about the 701? You did not write clearly at all. All the things I wrote in my previous comment about the 701 is true, you can look the facts up for yourself, so I do not know what you are arguing about for the phone.

I never said it had sold millions or that it is best selling. I think you need to take a chill pill and read what I am actually posting! The way you are randomly saying things is quite delirious! I recommend you should see a specialist.

Symbian is being phased out. That is a fact but Nokia is supporting it until 2016 and it certainly is not dead now. The recent release of the 808 Pureview is proof of this. None of the technology websites that you listed above actually say 'it is dead'. They make the correct point that it is on its way out.

The Nokia N8 has a better camera than the Iphone 4 and HTC Amaze actually.

I would not bet that you know more about technology than me and your posts above show very little knowledge at all!

Well yeah but he was lieing because all the phones are the same and to make it worse, nokia forgot a FFC on the lumia 800. I also think the Nokia handsets are the most well designed Windows Phone devices. Don''t get me wrong because I live Nokia windows phone. I mean my next cellphone will likely be made by Nokia with Windows Phone. But they just have this arrogance about them and sometimes its admirable an sometimes its crazy. But you got to love them.

I think they just saw an opportunity in WP. Where was the excitement for a WP7 phone until Nokia was announced. I don't remember any commercials for the phones except from MS. None of the others were pushing the Windows phone. Nokia has sparked an interest and the others have gained from this as well. Samsung had decent phones as well as HTC but Nokia has made regular people say "WOW" and look at the os and decide which maker they would like. If they had went Android it would be just another in the huge crowd entering into a spec race.

I'm just saying in case they fail, they will have to adopt Android that's for sure, even if Elopwouldn't want that.

I respect Android and Iphone Fans. They are good people but what they must realize is that there is room for other smart phones in the market place like Windows smart phones and black berry. WebOS and ect. Windows smart phones are about to take a quantum leap when the Apollo smartphones appear. The Microsoft Metro interface on Computers is here now with Windows 8 Computers. Some People like Metro some People hate Metro interface info tiles but must face the fact it's here and not going away. the thing is learn how to use metro start screen. on a computer you set up the Metro tile start screen with all the apps you like to use to appear right in front of you to use right away when you see the Metro start screen. Actually the metro start screen on a computer should be called an apps quick access screen you can do more things than that with the Metro start screen but having a customizable quick apps access is the beginning of how to use metro start screen

Nokia is annoying about their support of Microsoft. It annoys me when they talk bad about other operating systems, like Android when they're simply jealous that they are loosing market shares to Samsung. Rather than talking about the key benefits of their OS they talk down on others.

Why can't some of you realize more choices are better.

I own a wp7 since its release but I don't want it to be the only OS,that's the problem with apple and android fanboys they are so negative towards any OS except their own.
Its lame,grow the F up.

Everyone has different likes, thankfully. Why is it so hard for some of you to understand that?
