Its so obvious Every Time people talk about windows phone... It's lumia that comes to mind..... why would i buy a Samsung... i'm not saying that they are not good at making windows phone but is just too late for them to make a comeback with windows phone... beside Nokia built quality and design is much better. If Nokia comes up with an Android phone .... I won't buy a Samsung... Nokia is the way to go.

Nokia and HTC, thus far I have been impressed with their build quality. Samsung I have never liked their phones, the quility is not the best.

oh my, I put my vote and it showed! bang! quite a lot of people think like me! And yeah, people seems to love Samsung in android but things are different here on WP.

well... the Samsung Omnia 7 was a great phone imo =)
53. Raymond_htc (Posts: 430; Member since: 06 Apr 2012)
Yeah.. made of cheap nasty plastic.
Even they lied about the poly carbonate backing for S3. it feels like any ordinary plastic!

yeah... when it comes to windows phone..its all about nokia now...even samsung and even HTC make windows phone and windows mobile devices first...
i agree with the writer, nokia should re design the new lumia to have a new "wow factor"... but if they push the pureview tech on these designs, i think it will be different since it will surely have a bump on the back...
the leak photos dont really convince me at all..but i was convince by the other one, the 820..coz if its truly a lumia pureview, it should have a bump, but it doesnt have...
i hope the 920 carry the 808 pureview camera (21 mp is pretty decent.. still higher than the new nikon and galaxy camera running android OS at 16mp) and the 820 will carry the N8 sensor but better(even N8's camera still sit on the top spot camera phone)..
the lumia 820 looks like N9 ans N8 together to me... coz the camera side of the 820 is on top (on the leak photos) like the N8..
but i do wish they bring the N8 design back..i really like N8 design... its aluminum body is way better than samsung ativ s!

That is presuming that Nokia will do everything right!
There is always possibility for Samsung/HTC to gain traction and for Nokia to lose it for various possible reasons
Samsung/HTC might give better battery backup in the future
Samsung/HTC might provide a cost advantage
We will just have to wait and watch

Such a lame question :P
9 out of 10 would prefer Lumia 920
4. MeoCao (unregistered)
But 9 out of 10 buyers will prefer Ativ :))

when people talk about WP8 Nokia is the first thing that comes to mind
8. shreyas.s666 (Posts: 80; Member since: 24 Aug 2012)
you need to look at the resulst before you speak..
14. MeoCao (unregistered)
Haha, I'm sure most of the people who voted Nokia have Android and not WP, let alone Nokia WP.

I have a cyan Lumia 900, and I voted for the 920. I'll likely be selling the 900 to buy a 920. Undecided whether it'll be another cyan or that very appealing yellow.
31. joey_sfb (Posts: 5181; Member since: 29 Mar 2012)
Reason i ask is that i have problem selling my nokia c7 till i traded it in with the telco for $60 and that's 2011 Aug.
46. -box- (Posts: 3991; Member since: 04 Jan 2012)
@joey_sfb: Anyone with valid U.S. legal tender. I know what you mean. I have a C7 Astound, 701, and a 5230, and they're hard sells at the price they should command. Folks would rather spend that money on newer or less-obscure hardware.
10. Droid_X_Doug (Posts: 5993; Member since: 22 Dec 2010)
Actually.... I think 65 out of 100 smartphone buyers prefer Android. :-)
Back to the article's question, I think the 'winner' will be dependent on who provides the best overall user experience - things like call quality, multi-media, browsing, and, and, and.
It probably would be better to run the article/poll after all 3 handsets were available. Right now, it is more of a popularity contest.

Can't actually state anything without seeing the Accord or 920 but the Lumia=Wp formany.
7. redmd (Posts: 1204; Member since: 26 Oct 2011)
I prefer the giant screen of the ATIV. The 2300 mAh also got my interest. Nokia had it's pureview camera going on so it might attract buyers.
12. maverick786us (Posts: 146; Member since: 20 Apr 2012)
0.3 inch will hardly make any difference. The interface of ATIV is so simple compared to sophisticated interface of Lumia and Accord
23. SlimSoulja86 (Posts: 659; Member since: 03 Nov 2011)
Ahhhhh! Doesn't the interface looks the same for all WP smartphones? How is the ATIV interface look different from that of Lumia and Accord. Yet people thumb u up for such a ludicrous comment. They all look the same, the only difference will be the hardware and added "Apps" sort to speak.
But I stand to be corrected, I could be the stupid one here.
42. haseebzahid (Posts: 1853; Member since: 22 Feb 2012)
ahahahah u never saw a WP interface buddy stay out of this unless u seen the OS
19. redmd (Posts: 1204; Member since: 26 Oct 2011)
Are you sure? Because as far as I know all WP8 devices will look the same software wise except for that special manufacturer bundle.
36. swagat73 (Posts: 11; Member since: 12 Aug 2012)
i prefer htc zenith.4.7' ips lcd 2,s4 1.7ghz dual core,2500mah battery,window 8,13mp camera
11. Berzerk000 (Posts: 4270; Member since: 26 Jun 2011)
When it comes to WP, it really all comes down to design, as they are all usually the same specs (aside from screen size). With that said, Nokia makes the best looking WP devices. Though Samsung is making a stand with the Ativ, giving it an aluminum chassis instead of the usualy polycarbonate, that's a first. Wonder why they didn't do that with the GS3...
13. ph00ny (Posts: 1091; Member since: 26 May 2011)
Captivate for ATT (SGS1) had aluminum battery cover.
Primary reason for not using aluminum is reception.
15. Berzerk000 (Posts: 4270; Member since: 26 Jun 2011)
Oh, I never knew that. I knew Samsung put aluminum on their Bada devices, but didn't know about the Captivate.
16. bobfreking55 (Posts: 866; Member since: 15 Jul 2011)
earlier leaks suggested a Nokia Lumia 1001 right? i hope they don't name it the 920 and i hope the design doesn't stay redundant.
Lumia designs look too alike already. just like the iPhone. it's beautiful, but too common somehow. it needs to standout among the other lumias.
if the pricing is the same, then I'd get the lumia only because of the better camera and all.
17. megaSUNNY (Posts: 77; Member since: 26 Jun 2012)
among all, lumia 920 looks cool, clean and beautiful.and ugliest is........
18. fatexo (Posts: 213; Member since: 21 May 2010)
HTC Accord because i am not a fan of pentile matrix AMOLED screens..
21. refreak (Posts: 29; Member since: 18 Dec 2011)
no one knws the complete specs of lumia 920, but still it gets such a huge reaction..
Prooves pureview is a show stealer..
22. satydesh (Posts: 71; Member since: 22 Nov 2011)
i don't care what you think but when comes to windows phone nokia has good muscles than anyother out there except microsoft. So i am forget about other OEMs when comes to windows phone!!!
24. SlimSoulja86 (Posts: 659; Member since: 03 Nov 2011)
I guess sales will only show, which one the consumers prefer. Some people still think Samsung and HTC when it comes to Windows Phone (talking about an average consumer, not Phonearenians). The likes of Focus and Omnia. Just saying. I could be wrong.
25. snowgator (Posts: 3547; Member since: 19 Jan 2011)
Nokia will have a huge boost given it from the 900's push which got it front and center among not only WP's, but Smartphones in general. Even if some call it disappointing, fact is the name recognition was truly an investment for Nokia. I expect their devices to really take off. No doubt they will be the best selling WP devices. The only questions will be how do they compared to the top end Androids and iPhone, and what comes next during Q2 and Q3 of 2013?
As for me, I voted Samsung's effort. They get first look in my world due to the amazing performance of not only their top end Android efforts (GS2 & GS3), but the flawless and enjoyable Focus series they put out for WP 7. From the original effort in 2010 to the "S", all 4 devices are dependable, rated highly, and had very few problems to talk about. Their ecosystem is growing with some decent exclusives, and they were supported- receiving all updates available. Sure, Nokia gets higher marks in support and exclusives, but I trust Sammy.
It will be Samsung or Nokia for me. HTC lost me with the horrid performance of my Wife's Titan, although the T2 isn't bad.

I'm happy most of you still prefer Nokia when the mobile universe is getting hogged by devices for Android.
To all who think Samsung ATIV has got it all...look at what Nokia did to your "Windows" above your desks...yes, it'll be on your pockets with a brave comeback with a beautiful, though not fresh, shell.
Here's what you can do with Samsung's back cover...remove it, hang it by your door, and hit it with a spoon to make that 'clang' sound whenever you have to call your kids or family members for meal, lol.

Super LCD 2 1280x720 on the 4.3 inch HTC Accord will be the sharpest, brightest and most color accurate display ever been on a smartphone. If its real of course. It would be a One X display with higher PPI.
33. Gcombs (Posts: 133; Member since: 22 Aug 2011)
I really hope Microsoft will have some sort of event in the U.S with all OEM under one roof to show all WP8 devices and which carriers will be getting what devices.
34. Nematc (Posts: 28; Member since: 02 Feb 2012)
2. drive navigation
At this stage of pre-release
I will vote for Nokia.
35. w-t-f (Posts: 42; Member since: 21 Aug 2012)

its just a zune that can make calls thats all it is hail to its destruction
43. Glim12808 (Posts: 394; Member since: 26 Oct 2011)
Like, like, like all three! But for me, it comes down to who will support their products after they're released to the market. Based on that, it's Nokia for me!
45. networkdood (Posts: 6330; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
The Lumia looks to be the least appealing, in terms of specs, but P.A. does not have the full spec sheet on it, so we will see - HTC and Samsung phones look nice, too. Probably would pick the Samsung phone on specs alone, but since I do not buy the phone on just specs alone - I would wait until viewing them at a store, if one carrier did have all models to view.
59. networkdood (Posts: 6330; Member since: 31 Mar 2010)
boo hoo I got minus 1 and now I will cry....lol
47. Johnnokia (Posts: 1036; Member since: 27 May 2012)
If Nokia will have phone runs on WP, why should I think to buy from other brands !!!??.
50. tmcr7 (Posts: 180; Member since: 02 Nov 2011)
No offense to Nokia Lumia 820 or 920. They're great looking phones. And probably sports a better camera.
But a Samsung Ativ S would really look cool together with the Ativ Tablet and the Ativ Laptop. I would love to collect these Samsung Windows 8 devices. :)
52. Raymond_htc (Posts: 430; Member since: 06 Apr 2012)
I'll support HTC... my name says so. :\
55. u-suck-more (Posts: 529; Member since: 26 Aug 2011)
the samsung is plain ugly. i won't even consider it
56. pikapowerize (banned) (Posts: 1869; Member since: 03 May 2012)
do you hate samsung? but why you have samsung galaxy note on your pic? well actually the ativ S is really a good looking device... but nokia will be the best and the beast of WP...
this is the main dis advantage of a manufacturers releasing some device ahead from its competition... they wont know the look or how will it impact...
thats why samsung's galaxy series is sued by apple because of this!
61. u-suck-more (Posts: 529; Member since: 26 Aug 2011)
i have e Note as my pic bcos im using the Note -.-
besides, looks are subjective, i can like it and u can hate it
in Apple's defense, the Galaxy line came out aft e iPhone... so yea.. but e phones before the iPhone is a different story though
57. jroc74 (Posts: 5961; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
Call quality and phone related functions would probably go to Nokia.
I really like Amoled screens right now....so I would like the Ativ. I have yet to see a One X in person so cant comment on that type of screen.
Overall...I just like the look of the Ativ more.

nokia is rumored to bring new tech... called puremotion HD.. i dont know if it will be on screen display or whatsoever...
