Right?! Who wouldn't get the nokia 808 pureview, ois has nothing on iso with its 41 MP lossless zoom, symbian^3 belle and penta band capable of achieving HSPA+speeds anywhere in the world? :)

Problem with the 808 PureView (and don't get me wrong, I love it, and wish I owned one instead of my 701) is that it's a) not LTE, b) not available through a U.S. carrier c) therefore isn't available with a subsidy d) doesn't run Windows Phone, which is getting lots of effort, money, and marketing behind it, and will work seamlessly with Windows itself e) doesn't have that large a screen (though largest of any Symbian), which people want, nor that high of a resolution (which would really makes those PureView shots look great on-screen) f) still has that large bump which people (not me) find distasteful.
Honestly, I'm looking forward to PureView phase 3: I hope it brings OIS, lossless zoom and high-MP count, stereo rich recording, and whatever else Nokia is cooking up all together in one device.

Okay to answer your questions; a) the only carrier in the USA in which this phone would be at disadvantage is at&t in regards to lte and even then, lte for at&t is on a pathetic number of markets compared to Verizon, so it'll make no difference with someone at t-mobile which instead of lte that drains battery the customer will have hspa+42 mbps as back haul, b) & c) and? Has that ever stopped anyone from buying a full priced phone? Hehe I pay 140 for 5 lines with all of them truly unlimited data, text and 1000 minutes, yes that's with taxes, through t-mobile but we don't get subsidy, but who in the world is stupid enough to jump into a subsidized plan where they'd charge at least twice that amount? And you just proved that if this person is out of the us they're good, since people in other countries pay full price for the phone, which reminds me, I walked two hours ago to an at&t store, I was asking about buying the 920 and those morons told me they had to sell the phone through contact and that if I did get the contract and canceled in 30 days they'll charge me the etf and the rest of the cost of the phone, so that would total to .... 450+350+70=870 $ for the lumia 820, d) no offense but windows needs a lot of development, symbian has been on the market since 2005 and their reputation is known to be awesome, creative, smooth yet rich in features, unlike windows os, e) considering people are doing anything on the 4"screen iphone, I can't see why a 4"screen would be bad, besides when I held the 920 today I have to admit it but it was bulky f) yeah it was bulky and really thick, I mean it was thicker than the lumia 900 so that should give you an idea of how thick it is, oh and don't forget the screen doesn't extend from end to end, so that leaves more useless space on the 920 compared to the 920 . Honestly the next pureview phase will probably be symbian first, being that all the cool features on nokia phones come through symbian it's only natural they stay symbian, why do you think they didn't include the 41 MP on the 920? Would've been smart but just like when they dummied down the n900 because it'll steal market share of symbian they'll also keep the rich features such as lossless zoom for symbian only

Nokia should come with a revolution of video calling, this will help them to gain market share, same for Windows Phone, it's something totally new for customers, videocalling over 3G/4G network without the need of Skype, just with your Mobile number, build right into Windows Phone 8.5

They would face the same problem as FaceTime does on the iPhone. Sure it may work well, even on 3/4G, but it's limited to a select group of iPhone users. FaceTime has never been a huge selling-point for the iPhone. I'm not saying Nokia can't do it, but they need to get a huge amount of people on board with them for a revolution in video-calling to work out, some reason for everyone to own a Nokia phone.

Carriers all over the world need to integrate videocalling into the credit of the consumer, not in the data plan, then i'm sure it will be a revolution, but +1 for your comment!

And it needs to be integrated in Windows Phone 8, so not only Nokia can make profit but also HTC and Samsung :D

Problem is you a) need an app for that b) carriers don't like it and c) not everywhere has the infrastructure for that much bandwidth being used, as video is one of the biggest data hogs available. and d) Skype is already cross-platform and widely deployed, so why not use it?

i think this is a good start for microsoft & nokia that the phone is selling like a hot cake.

the problem that they have to fix immediately is the selection of apps. no spotify, no google voice, no evernote. a lot of people use these apps nowadays and they won't tolerate this thing for long

I'm also wondering when we see some great new apps, and not only that but they must work properly, not like for example Whatsapp on WP7.5, horrible !! :(

if the sales on WP platform is great, i think in a short time, developers are going to make it. but i don't think the making of the apps will be in a short time.

RIM tried to use android coding for the apps an i think it would saves time for the developers rather than make new structure code

The question is, is it still a marketing strategy? Just like windows phone 7? The strategy of WP 7 is like this sell a few phones and when you ran out of stocks you will tell that it is exceeding your expectations. Example you will sell 100 phones when you ran out of stocks you will tell everybody that the phone sells well but in reality 100 phones is a very low demand. I hope Microsoft or Nokia will not use this marketing strategy again because they stink at this.
