0. phoneArena 16 Jan 2013, 15:57 posted on

Nokia is going all out to prove that the Nokia Lumia 920 is the flagship smartphone that you should switch to and to showoff its durability, the Finnish based manufacturer set up an experiment that had both the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S III get beaned by a fastball in the back; did either phone survive this grusome experiment?...

I like Nokia and I don't care for your guesses . Try to respect others desire. Every one knows Nokia produce the best phones and most of us left Nokia and went to Apple or Samsung , did that because of outdated Symbian .. just be open minded and accept the truth

But Tiles remind me of rolling eyes and dancing monkeys on the web pages of the 90's. It's as annoying as those web pages.

Not to say it isn't possible, but doing a search of "lumia 920 cracked screen" brings back a bunch of results. Considering a fastball should be around 80-100 mph, and most of the results mention it was dropped a short distance, it sounds a little fishy to me.

I really wish these companies wouldn't make outrageous claims, just stick to the facts. I don't need a phone to be magical or survive a nuclear blast, I'd settle for them not cracking from a drop the height of my head. Beyond that I'll deal with the consequences.

Shame, poor Nokia, they are trying everything yet GS3 sales continue to get stronger, it will take A LOT more than shooting balls at a GS3 to be successful.

defensive much?

this was just showing that while the gs3 is a great device its build is poor. plus the 920 can do all needed and survive what this popular phone cant. when you spend that kind of money on a phone you want to know if you drop it accidently etc it wont just smash

and you android fans now will use sales as a plus point yet when they were been dominated by the iphone sales didnt matter

funny

Just wow

How blind are you?

"plus the 920 can do all needed and survive what this popular phone cant"

Can you clarify?

What needs are you talking about?

oh wait you meant that poor Apps?

maybe you can say it is getting better, of course I know

But I also do know it took more than 3 years for Google to catch up Apple's Apps

So I guess you could say this comment again 3year later?

Mr Jerry you butt hurt because all topics aren't about android? You know coming into a Nokia section to comment with nothing constructive is typical of a fanboy. Just saying, stop commenting unless you have something real to say... First it's the American comments, now Nokia? I understand that you may not be able to have more than one phone due to funds but don't knock others for choice (isn't that what your precious android is all about?)

Typical comment from Trolls

Oh man I feel like I am getting childish talking to you

wow. MrJerry, saying they are blind yet it seems that you can't accept the opinion and also the fact that Nokia Lumia 920 is more durable than Samsung's Galaxy S III.

It's just a simple fact that we can't remove out of the table. We all know that nokia's known best for its build quality.

Also, for crying out loud. You're still bashing WP8 for the apps. The thing is, would you use every app available on the appstore/playstore/marketplace? OF COURSE NOT! The thing is, WP has enough apps to cater what you need and that's the point here.

I'm an android fan and I have a galaxy note II but I can't rule out the fact that nokia's phones are more durable than any other phone in the market.

Those people you said are blind are not blind. You sir, MrJerry are blinded by your fanboyness of what you think is the best. So please, stop bashing every comment around. Thank you.

It was really nice to talk to you guys

I just wanna say one more thing

Get more flexible perspective on matters

There is no best
It's all about preference
And it's always changing

It's not that hard to break your narrowed-mind

How about get some flexible and more open mind before talking for such thing. You're insisting that we're wrong but the truth is that you just can't accept the fact that NOKIA IS STILL THE KING in terms of build quality and design.

Sir, I think you need to take a look of yourself in a mirror and start realizing what's really wrong in your life instead of reading articles and commenting on it with lack of knowledge and realization.

Bye.
