Nokia Lumia 920 and Samsung Galaxy S III each take a fast ball in the back

0. phoneArena 16 Jan 2013, 15:57 posted on

Nokia is going all out to prove that the Nokia Lumia 920 is the flagship smartphone that you should switch to and to showoff its durability, the Finnish based manufacturer set up an experiment that had both the Nokia Lumia 920 and the Samsung Galaxy S III get beaned by a fastball in the back; did either phone survive this grusome experiment?...

Did I say I can't accept the opinion?
Go check, I first replied to what Nokia troll comment

Let me tell you what I think

920 is more durable than GS3
I know more than anyone because I am selling these phones

But I don't think GS3 is cheap plastic
It's strong enough to be smartphone unless you need a smartphone as weapon

I can accept 920 has more durable body than GS3
I can't accept GS3 has cheap plastic body

I hope you can get my point

what restrictions are you talking about..? Everything I need are already available without any restrictions...There's no need for rooting or jailbraking cos its already perfect the way it is...You need rooting or jailbreaking when you're not happy with what you already have or maybe for fun..Its fun for them when there's nothing else to do with their life..Maybe they should get out often and check out the real world outside sometimes..(sorry if I've hurt your feelings).
The only restriction WP had was bluetooth file sharing and its available now. So there you go..

A. If you put Android on it.

Now relax, that's not a diss to WP8 (It's a good OS) but I would LOVE to see an Android flavored Nokia device.

yes we have heard many android fans whine about this, yet they slate all nokia's efforts with the 920 plus they wouldnt even buy it if they made one. they just want everything to be android and then will tear it apart as not good enough

i hope nokia dont go android, focus on wp8 etc and become the dominate player

Most people here are adults, so there isn't any whining. Especially with the great selection of Android devices we have to choose from. And we all think competition and variety is good, so no one is saying only Android devices from now on. That's what the iOS and WP8 fans want to believe we are saying, but that's not the case at all. We just want one of our favorite OEM's and our favorite OS to come together and make a device. What's wrong with that? But if variety is good, why wouldn't it be good for Nokia as well? They can still dominate if they have several OS's. Or is it just the word "Android" that bothers you?

I agree with whateverman, so to you chaoticrazor, i say "whatever, man." 3 comments on this and each one is attacking someone who said something about android or the s3.

So in respose to your "defensive much?" I say "offensive much?" You're as bad as Cartman when he tries to be a cop with all your pa-trolling around.

Everyone has their own favorite phone/OS just let them have it. It's not your job to go around attacking every comment and searching for the word "android". I don't like how Macs work, its not my style so I use windows. And I'm assuming youre about to try to rip my comment apart because I have an HP laptop? I mean if your going to praise apple's nuts, you might as well keep it consistant right?

You just confirm yourself as Nokia fanboy

"i hope nokia dont go android, focus on wp8 etc and become the dominate player"

Samsung also makes WPs, you must know that right?
And I have never seen Samsung Fanboys say why SS made a WP while I have seen many WP lovers welcomed Samsung as their another option

Nokia will be welcomed if they make Android as well

I just don't see why not whereas you think it shouldn't be

There probably isn't any commericals because Android is more popular than windows, so they're not going to spend money where it's not going to help them. just like every other comany doesnt advertise every single phone they make. They choose which ones to advertise based on hopeful sales... not all phones are created to have equal advertising

i agree not all devices are made to spend money on marketting. but the ativ s has 1 advantage to the rest of the windows phones, it's the biggest one. that alone is a good marketting strategy. so it is not a low end phone.

I'm sure its a good phone. I'm not trying to bash it or anything. Samsung mustve just decided it wasn't worth advertising it. I don't work there and made the decision so i don't know.

If i did work there, I would allow anyone to choose the model, choose the ram and processor and all that and then choose the OS they want and build their own phone like we can do with computers at home. i built my laptop to match the specifications i wanted and beign able to do that with phones would be sick in my opinon. (That's off topic i know, i jsut wanted to throw my idea out there)

Lol! There is no pain with Android, at least not for me. No other OS offers what I'm looking for. Maybe with a little more custimization options... I would possibly give WP a try. But there many things I'm just not feeling either and WP won't allow me to change. So we'll see how it evolves.

Customizing your own tiles to better describe you shines than android's chaotic screen lost in a sea of widgets. Things are done fast in WP UI than than the fragmented android's world.

No, sorry. Just not how I see it. I like having different scrolling effects, 3D animations, changing font sizes and colors, widgets, live wallpaper, the whole nine. The word "fragmented" has no effect on me because I've been happy with every iteration of Android. So getting stuck with any version is fine for me, and if I really want the latest version I know how to root my devices. I can change just about every aspect of my device and make it whatever I want it to be and that's not something I can do on a windows device. My phone, no matter how popular the model, an be completly different from anyone else's of the same model. That works really well for me.

Windows is more chaotic by every means. You have to go into menus menus to make any changes.

One swipe of my notification bar and I have toggles.

Windows uses more tiles than iOS and Android combined. Idk what it is about this mess. It sounds like excuses because I could make my home screen with one widget if I wanted to. Or none at all.

Yea and Nokia the connecting people always used mid specs and relying on MS, Nokia is slave to MS. Yea same plastic material but different texture.
O look unibody design hey following copycats of Apple, at least Samsung use high end Exynos chip, unlike Crap dragon commercially typically scrap chip, and also midrange phone with high price.
