You are entitled to your opinion, but remember that if you want a phone that just works effortlessly with out lag, and can be used as a productive tool look no further than WP8!
WP8 will be unified across all platforms, will not lag from my experience with WP7. There is a simple GUI for interaction that's intuitive and fast. As a true OS it will allow things that no other OS has right now, and will synchronize with Exchange server, Office products, Outlook Express for true productivity business exec's look for.
WP8 has apps that work on the phone as well as the desktop, laptop, tablet. WP8 has Xbox live, and will have games that will work because of Xbox and the Windows 8 OS.
You have to be a hater to not acknowledge that once it matures WP8 tied to Windows 8 unified through extended desktop is a true productive entertaining game changer!
I had the Pocket PC, Mogul phone, but love stopped after that Mogul.ROFL The Windows HD got me to look again but look was all that there was.
The Focus has me thinking they are almost where they need to be to lure me back. But not until after the SGIII, EVO 4GLTE, or Nexus3 purchase happen. Two years from now I am looking, but when Windows a for the pc drops I am all in. I scrapped Windows 7 for the beta W8, and all I can say is 15-20 second boots was all that I needed to not want to go back

Sister has lumia 800 she Dosnt like it, and i hate it sucks no where near Android! No Rom or kernels. Can't root or overlook the Cpu or gpu. How sad....

you are so technical... are you an engineer, whom you need to impress by rooting your phone?

Life is always in the fastlane. So why not
If u drive an m3 u would want to be on the next level. Ur just a basic simple user.....

Lame statement dude...You and your sister may hate this phone for that reason, but you will be the minority when it comes to this. Most people will not look to root, or over clock a phone that has no lag. What's the point...
As a Techie to be able to do this yeah okay, but why mess with whats not broke. What makes Windows so appealing is that you don't need to do this to have a great user experience. Most every other OS you have to do this.
You make valid points of what can't be done, but I say to you there is no need for that. I personally don't' want to have to make my phone run like it should by modding it. I prefer it to run as it should out of the box,,,,ergo WP8, WP7. If it were customizable it would be a dream phone, but not a game changer to make me want to avoid it if apps and functionality are there!
Not every OS is for every one that's why we have choices, but for you to bash Windows because it does't have the preferences that appeal to you is ignorant, and shows your lack of education, and tolerance of things that differ from your taste. Dare I say that you can't be a true "techie"!
By all means get what you like, but how about some of you respecting others rights to like what they like without all of this negativity!
I don't like IOS, never did, but respect the fact that it was the Game changer for smart phones and the reason why 'ALL" OS work as they do now.
Google's Android is more tech friendly, and truly customizable, and Windows has evolved to be what it lacked and lost on a smart phone in the past, and will continue to grow. It's your choice to choose what you like, but why not respect the technologies for what they are, and what they represent! Some of you on this board go way out of hand and need to probably be reigned in with a moderator because of the way you act.

@Sniggly: I know, right? That's why I'm waitin' for WP8 hoping it'll be, as you like to call, a fully featured OS.

Congrats to Microsoft and Nokia, hopefully Windows Phone will become a popular 3rd smartphone OS.

I don't a fully featured OS ,with a million useless features that only nerds like you use, I want a fancy OS that I can show off and doesn't crash or lag lol . Just put it like this a Mercedes benz s class has more features than a Rolls Royce , but yet the Royce cost more and look with more class and more elegant , same thing with android and wp7 hater .

You know, I think you could be more arrogant and snobbish. I really think you could. Why don't you put more effort into that instead of writing reasonable, non asshole posts like the one above?

this retard said outdated hardware and low ram,lol that's the point fool wp7 is like a 1994 McLaren f1 ,you remember that car fool is 18 years old but still smoking the competiton lol ,you just got smoked by windows phone retard.
39. Sniggly (Posts: 7305; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
If we're going to do car analogies, how about this: Windows Phone is like the Saturn Sky. It's quick, pretty and has great overall design, but comes up short on features and practicality.
On the other hand, Android is like a fully decked out Ford Fusion: not overwhelmingly sexy, and probably not as quick or sleek, but in features and comfort in every day use, it kicks some serious freaking ass.

I think I preferred Taco and Miz in their prime to these WP7 fanboys. At least they had a decent grasp on the English language. Ugh.
Nothing personal about MS or WP7, it just doesn't do enough for me. Otherwise I would be carrying the Lumia 900 in cyan as it is a beautiful piece of kit ;D I really hope that WP8 has even more to offer and I may be tempted to switch as long as Nokia makes phones like these. Until then, I'll stick with my One XL - I have a thing for unibody polycarb phones. Haha.
