Nokia Lumia 825 might be a budget 5.2" Windows Phone with quad-core Snapdragon 400

An interesting notion surfaced about Nokia's upcoming big-screen phones portfolio. Sources indicated that leaked specs for a "budget" phablet of sorts are actually what might end up as a Nokia Lumia 825. The phone is expected to sport a large 5.2" display with 720p resolution, and be powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, pointing at the Lumia that leaked on GFXBench not long ago...

but you know some 4 cyl cars with one small turbo on it are capable to beat sh*t out of 5,6,8 and even 10,12 and 16 cyl cars. this means thinking correctly and not for bigger is better smaller means less weight and weight means nearly 90% of victory in a car industry

Future proofing. :) didnt you know that androis OS really only needs 2 cores? Its just a matter of optimization of hardware and software.

So you we have to wait 2014 April for the Quad core S800 .... Lumia 9 series or 10 series
Good for nothing having a low budget cheap S400.

O shut up you whimp!
WP don't lag even on a dual core processor...i bet Microsoft is putting up with these new processors just to follow the trend and maybe because of people like you who decides the rating of phones with respect to how new and capable the hardware is. They might just need a quad for 1080p resolution. Otherwise, i still believe a dual core S4 pro can very much deal with WP8 without a hitch.
Hopeless, no good, spec hungry troll!

Wow this'll be great to compete with all Samsung's dual SIM android phones and that too with budget price, a very very good move indeed. Bring it on Nokia.

This is it folks now nokia can cut loose and fly like a goose. there no more restrictions to the Windows Phone 8 using all the high tech gear a smart phone can have. the nokia 1020 is a not Nokia's 2013 flag ship smart phone because I bet you a 5 or 6 inch 1080p screen Nokia lumia smart phone with quad core CPU, screen and the 41 pixel super camera with come out later this year that will be KING of the windows smart phones. the only problem with this device will be
BATTERy LIFE because folks if you want Quad core CPU's and HD screens and the rest of the high tech goodies a smart phone can have all this tech will eat up battery power something fearce

if its a quad core it shows Nokia is ready to show some of its monstrosities based on the newest hardware.
I don't see a necessity of using so powerful chips but in the end, the customer is what matters. If ignorants want to have quad cores to enjoy their devices, give them what they want...even if it's completely unnecessary.

With Quad Core processors, more and more developers will port more demanding gaming onto the WP App store which will already add to the excellent usability of the OS. Was considering the Lumia 620 as a low end budget phone, but this sounds more future proof.

Windows Phone with a quad core? Haha I rate it would be twice as fast as the galaxy S4 with it's SH1T Android OS.
