Historically, it is not even close. The original VH made history. It set a standard and influenced an entire generation of music. Dave brought a "wink and grind" kinda attitude that no one else has ever been close too since.
But, did you listen to the crap set of tunes that they just put out? What a sad, sad effort.
Time to give Mr. Hagar his due. No Van Halen record made #1 without him, every one with him did. They were nominated and won Grammy awards with him.
And Chickenfoot just is a plain, fun, old-fashion rock band. He has been a success everywhere he jammed. And, how many other people scream in tune??

Dont get me wrong, I like hagar... more as a solo artist.. than with van halen. Nothing wrong with him at all. Its just a difference in styles. Dave was 1000% better front man where Sammy was 1000% more talented. Dave was all about sex, drugs, and rock n roll. Sammy was about love and social issues. When Sammy is solo however, he's all about booze and a good time under 55mph. :)
His songs are way more fun on a general basis when he's doing his own thing. Van-Hagar was all about the money. Thats why they made more, because they were doing songs purposefully to make tons of money. Nothing wrong with that but if I had to chose "Hot for Teacher" or "Cant Stop Loving You" to listen to for the rest of my life, its not even a contest. Give me that double bass drum filled fun song! :) (though humans being and Right now do rock.:) )

Well... if you are only making good points, how am I going to argue and derail this thread?

i don't like the design, ativ s design is much better than this, it's just my opinion, though.

I think they are all N9 inspired. I like it, but Nokia should not overuse it.

I agree with that. It is fine for a kick off of WP8 devices, but they better be designing something to compliment it or it will get a little stale.

currently this is the best and top design they have in store and they are in little bad situation here so they must use this design for a while just for first wp8 wave is all ok

Looks nice. Wish they would have kept the 41mpx sensor. That would have given them a huge edge. (doesnt actually matter, but people that dont know will be amaaaazed by the big number lol) 21mpx is still a pretty solid lead though, so its not like there's anything to complain about there. As long as its still made with high quality lens and software its all gravy.

What's with the HUGE bezel under the screen? It doesn't look very pretty. I don't like how they extended the "Lumia" design...the best looking polycarbonate Nokia is the N9. As for the competition...I'd rather go with the 4.8" Samsung Ativ S...just love the metal back pannel.

do you like extra heat coming through plus scratches and intendations?

Wow this is what I never saw it before. Compared with other Nokia phone, non of them have this type of sleek sleek look phone. Nokia is going to the future and Go NOkia. Good luck in getting back the Crown

It think this is fake... the 920 is a 900 in different colors and the 820 is a 800 with rounded corners and camera in horizontal position...

Hope NOkia will be introducing the tablet. Since most of us is talking about phone, i think that what was Stephen Elop thought of and maybe he is going to introduce a tablet which is not in any of our minds. That's why the video said something is special, I think tablet is another one will be out on 5th Sep

Seriously loving the colours.. Vivid Yellow, Crimson Red. Wonder what the Blue might look like? And hoping for Pureview!

A very tough competition to the Samsung Ativ S. Look's impressive. Lets see what Nokia has for us.

Really is gorgeous! I love windows phone, but I just don't know if I could deal with not having all the options and apps of Android! Specifically Google Music, and the knowledge that pretty much any app or service that I hear about will work on my device!
But wow, the camera, and the design have me in love haha. Does anyone know how the shutter speed is on Pureview?

Folks it has been rumored that Verizon will sell a near AT & T look alike 820. the differences will be that the "Verizon Nokia smart phone will have Pure vue technology and the rear Camera will be oriented differently and it will have the special CDMA Transceiver so it can operation on a "Verizon network" if this is true Then at last My DSL service provider has the Windows smart phone I want.Take my money now1.

Is it just me or are the pictures labled wrong. The supposed 820 model has the deatures of a purview on the back. The camera lens even looks like lits moveable. Maybe its just me.

We just came across some alleged live images of the Lumia 820 and they have little to do with the leaked renders. The device has a flat screen, and the camera lens on the bottom are quite different, which could indicate that the two are separate devices or that at least one of the images is face.
Also WPCentral point to the Lumia 820 having not a 4.3 but a 4.65" AMOLED display (probably HD) and a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor along with LTE, NFC and a microSD card slot.

totally agree with you its looks like a georgous phone....but such a waste of space with that huge black bezel.
73. KingKurogiii (Posts: 5653; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
i didn't think the 808 looked bad at all. i think it looked very good considering the circumstances. i'd rather take a 41MP camera with a 808-esque design than a 21MP one incorporated into a Lumia 900 design.
80. remixfa (Posts: 14226; Member since: 19 Dec 2008)
gotta agree. its hard being addicted to electronics.. makes it hard to settle.. lol
81. KingKurogiii (Posts: 5653; Member since: 23 Oct 2011)
sure does, especially when you're looking to switch platforms, there's gotta be enough Hardware Persuasion if you will to justify deciding to go through the transitional period.

The 920 is awesome. I might just try out WP because of this phone. I'm tired of crappy cameras on phones but refuse to carry a snap and shoot...
77. jackhammeR (Posts: 1548; Member since: 17 Oct 2011)
I've just red that they probably won't look like those on renders.
I wish they did

Rectangle with rounded corners? Oh no! Lawsuit in 3... 2... 1...
89. pikapowerize (banned) (Posts: 1869; Member since: 03 May 2012)
oh please.. its an old design of nokia.. have you ever heard N9 or lumia 800?
88. pikapowerize (banned) (Posts: 1869; Member since: 03 May 2012)
but seems a little bit fake... if its really a pureview, what happen to the camera bump? its should bump a little if its a pureview.. all nokia best camera phone have bumps on the back (808, N8)...what about that 4.7" lumia? what happen to the cyan, magenta color...
im really loving this new lumia!!! i wish they could pull the windows phone to low end....
i wish these new nokia colors are true... im getting a purple one!!!
90. pikapowerize (banned) (Posts: 1869; Member since: 03 May 2012)
i think they should re design these new lumia... N9 design's really a revolutionary one... N9 win an award for its design, lumia 800/900 also win an award for the very same design...so i think they should make some tweaks and changes to the N9/lumia 800/900 design..
if they want to put pureview on the slick design of the N9, i dont think its possible coz if they want pureview, it will give a bump on the back coz it has huge sensors... but if they get rid of the bumps and came up with something that will keep the pureview tech on a very tiny sensor, maybe its now possible..
i like the N8 design though.. they should consider to recreate the design.. and when i was looking at lumia 820, i think its somehow get the N8's design.. the camera was on top...
i tihnk the lumia 920 will get pureview and the 820 will get N8's sensor but better! *fingers cross*

I will sell my SGS2 just to get lumia 920... XD
99. Whodaboss (Posts: 176; Member since: 18 Nov 2011)
My only concern as a TMo customer is that we won't get a sniff of the 920. We'll be relegated to very nice, but second class citizen version of the 820 variety. Samsung is looking better and better each day.

I love my Samsung GS3 but would probably have to go with Nokia on this one.
