Nokia Lumia 800 massive London event now posted on YouTube

Nokia is certainly not saving any of its shrinking riches to promote the first Windows Phone, the Nokia Lumia 800, and rightly so - the platform definitely needs all the publicity it can get if it wants…

It's funny how every article on every other site about Nokia Lumia 800 ends with "Nokia Lumia 800 is the first "true" Windows Phone device ... " and pointing the good stuff ... but every article on PhoneArena ends with ... "The device has reports for battery drain..." and "Analysis says it sells bad". Is there something wrong or I don't get it?

Have the same feeling. I'm following many websites (US, European,..) and have the feeling that PA isn't very enthusiastic when the news are Nokia related.
Maybe it's just a feeling? (hope that's the case).

I think the DJ, with that silly mouse costume with the swiss-cheese ears, probably did better for publicity than Nokia from that event. They showed the phone for, like, all of 30 seconds, and only after the first segment which was nothing but bizarre stream-of-consciousness eye-candy. More than anything it just looked like a strange concert put on for downtown London... with a slight reminding whiff of Nokia at the end.

But did you notice that a good part of that bizarre stream-of-consciousness eye-candy consisted of _Tile_ based imagery? Clever, even though the phone itself saw so little screen time. Interesting commercial, but it doesn’t make me want to get a Windows phone.

True... it was reminiscent of Live Tiles throughout, but it did not seem too convincing. I guess I cannot imagine being swayed by a 4-minute live commercial like that one. It did not make me any more interested in getting a Windows Phone, whether from Nokia or anyone else.

That was pretty sweet. Glad to see Windows Phone getting around to some real impressive marketing. Took a while though..... I mean cmon "A phone to save us from our phones" showing a bunch of boring ass people not even showing anything about windows phone. I think the phone here in America is shown way less than the people

IMO an informative website with information about all the phones is like a group of journalists and should not be biased in their presentations.
I do not hesitate that i had been a Nokia fan since years (I used to run my mobile business once) but in recent times I also used to admire good features of other mobiles. I have grudges on iphone but still appreciate what good they offer. I like samsung and HTC etc. for reasons knowing there are their weaknesses as well.
So if a layman like me is not biased, why a platform like this does?
PA, do not take me wrong. I like your website and there is no day I do not visit it but I often smell the same as the users above.
Nokia is coming back and I am glad.

For your sake, Raza, I hope that you do not 'smell the same as the users above'... I have been known to go three or more days without showering, and also to eat onions and garlic... well, I seem to remember doing all that just before being audited by the IRS... it seemed like a good excuse at the time.
