Nokia Lumia 1520 and its alternatives

0. phoneArena 22 Oct 2013, 06:18 posted on

After all the leaks and speculation, the Nokia Lumia 1520 is finally official, looking splendid in its colorful, polycarbonate outfit. Is anybody thinking of getting one? Because we surely wouldn't mind getting our hands on the company's phablet – after all, it sure has a lot to offer, including a gorgeous touchscreen, a super-fast processor, and a promising PureView camera. But the Nokia Lumia 1520 isn't exactly standing in a league of its own. In fact, there's a number of alternatives one should consider before picking Nokia's phablet...

man just get me this phone and stop the lolly gagging.......I see the fear in samsung owners eyes that 1520 took the crown, even I was surprise, I was thinking of staying with my note, but I was waiting patiently for that one windows phone to break my android cycle to check windows out and I finally found one, and its more powerful then my note which makes it even sweeter to switch......if things work out and I stay windows for a few, I am hoping Apple will break me out my windows cycle in a few years....I want to be able to switch it up every now and then

no trolling but think about it, since the reveal who have been posting the most....Team Apple or Team Samsung, so far since I been online I only seen Samsung responding.....Apple just relaxing but I do not blame them, they do not got a phablet so nothing to worry about

lol sorry for that line, I was being honest, but I can see how people say I am trying to be funny, which could also mean I am trying to troll, so just so yall know I have no ill will towards note 3 I think it is a great phablet top of the line, but in my opinion I think 1520 took the crown.....in honest truth all the 1520 is missing is a pen it have everything else.....no one could say the specs are old or anything because note 3 use same chips

I'm a samsung owner and I didn't feel fear. I felt excitement! Nokia really wowed me with this and the 1320 and 2520. I also felt switching. But I probably won't.

My only concern is it's size/comfort. Those sharp edges will make you suffer at such width and weight, in your hand and in your pocket.

Launching price, as usual, a big deterrent for Nokia 1520. Probably, the most expensive from the group

All those phones above I would like to try lg never use it before. Samsung is definitely not my choice since my galaxy phone broke when I used it for only two months. This kept me phone less for the next six month till I got a new phone nokia n8. I believe nokia phone is the best. I only changed phone when my phone battery started to die up faster than expected. Like last time nokia 3250 it last me for 5 years till the battery bulge up and can only call once or twice before the phone completely went off.

Now if only Microsoft could off a deal of $150 off the new xbox with purchase of this phone or even additional $150 of a windows tablet too! That's a deal brwKer to put them back into the game. Surface Pro 2 + nokia 1520 + new Xbox = winner

This is a nice phone but i don't think it will have good sales. The 1320 will get the majority of the market just like the 520 did compared to the 920/1020. Also this is phablet category, so sales will be even weaker compared to the smaller flagships. I could be wrong though, we'll see.

It's only on one American carrier, at&t. It makes no sense.
