Nokia Lumia 1020 available now, online, from AT&T
The Nokia Lumia 1020, with its 41MP PureView camera, can now be ordered online from AT&T at a price of $299.99 on contract. The phone has been available for pre-orders since July 16th and is offered in black, white or yellow. A version in red might soon be available. The specs on the device, outside of the camera, are similar to what you would expect to see on high end Windows Phone models like the Nokia Lumia 928, Nokia Lumia 925 and the Nokia Lumia 920.

That means that the Nokia Lumia 1020 offers a 4.5 inch screen with resolution of 768 x 1280. That works out to a pixel density of 332ppi. A dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 CPU is under the hood with the Adreno 225 GPU handling graphics. 2GB of RAM is on board which is one improvement over those other high end models. 32GB of storage comes on board the phone because of its lack of a microSD slot. A 2000mAh battery powers the phone which has that 41MP PureView snapper on back with both an LED and Xenon flash and Optical Image Stabilization. A 1.2MP camera is on the front of the phone.

After the Nokia Lumia 1020 gets situated in the U.S., we should see the model head over to Europe and Asia.

They are just a good camera , unless they come with 3X or 5X optical zoom . Then this is the best camera .

$650 for off contract/$300 on contract?

Does Nokia really think this device is worth as much as an android device with top of the line specs?

At best its worth $100 on contract and $400 unlocked.

Isnt it at&t the one to be blamed here? Theyre the one subsidizing the phone. Pfft. I guess if its a 32gb version of iphone, youd still go on it.

What other phone others the leap forward in the camera area that this does...there's no android device that can and if someone is looking for a smooth os with an incredible camera this is perfect

Why are you still playing the same tune, android isnt the end of all others

$650 is exactly what i paid for a new 920 on launch day, so, that camera + 2Gb RAM for the price of my 920. That is cheap. As for on contract price, you should question AT&T. If Lumia 920 did cost $650 last year during launching, and you only pay $99 for one, whilet now you need to pay $299, it is obviously not Nokia's doing, but the carrier. They reduced the subsidy.

looks like sakura finally showed his true colors. Pathetic troll who came to this topic and started linking some crap. It´s just a news about at&t, yet it didn´t bother him to start another flame war. Troll, indeed. To all level-headed users. Don´t waste time on arguing with that thing. He´s not worth it.

shatter...why do you measure the whole world through your personal preferences and sympathy toward android? If sth in not on android, does it mean it must be much cheaper?

I ordered mine with the free camera grip and one day shipping. I'm hoping to get it today. I'm glad I'm on the WP platform. If I wanted an os that was cold and robotic feeling I'd chose my space like the majority of these lemmings but instead I chose something more organic feeling. It has all my basic needs as a pho e and now a camera that's better than the rest by a mile that I can use to record my sons athletic life.
