It's different, most definitely. First glance before reading the article and I thought it had a case on it. I'll probably get stoned for this but IMO, Nokia is to phones as Google is to software ideas. Both try some crazy things at times and sometimes pull off interesting innovations with their mad experiments.

I think it's the loudspeaker by the looks of it, but I could be wrong. I saw that on several Ashas.

If it is, that's a nice sized speaker.

it opens the back cover (as in good old days) so you can access the battery, sim and memory card...

Very cool, thanks. I was on the train of thought that this was a solid phone without that capability. Great to see Nokia still offering that ability.

I wonder if Microkia is planning on bringing a tuned down version of WP8 to the Asha lineup in the near future.. That would drastically increase the capabilities of these feature phones, and spike WP market share.. After all, do you really think MS is not going to run their own software on their own phones❔... You can count on these phones running WP in the future..

if the phone support whatsapp, then it will sells like hot cake. I own asha 501 for backup to my Lumia 920, whenever I 'm on long journey I switch my sim card to 501 and keep my 920 for camera and navigation.
