Agree, but anyway this phone will hardly make any money for Nokia. INR 7~8k would be crazy, considering that L520 is available for extra 2k. Also, indian android phone manufacturers are shelling out JB powered dual core phones, that too with 5inch screens.

I shared this news with my friends who are planning to buy lower-end phones but all ridiculed this one.

What is with Nokia and the super thick phones in hideous pastels? They make otherwise nice looking phones look like fisher price toys.

nokia should have dumped s40 and should have used belle in its featured phones. we could have got good multitasking device.
s40 is not good for multitasking

correction: s40 don't multitask at all!! it's a java but it can't multitask! unlike BB7!

it doesn't make sense if it's running s40 coz it has the same specs of Nokia 808/701 and other Belle phones! 1ghz processor and 512mb of RAM!!!

PLEASE LET IT RUN WITH SYMBIAN!!! current updates are amazing!!

coz still Symbian is the multitasking King!!!! (I didn't realize that my cousin played with my phone, 25 games to be exact, and he didn't close it properly and yet my phone didn't hang!! unlike when he's playing with my Android! lags all the time when you're opening temple run and cut the rope! )

It SEEMS like specs are the same. But they arent because of the GPU. S40 and S60v5 had no support for GPU's. Nokia added support with Anna.

i know but how much is the GPU? $2-5? cheap android phones right now that is available in China has them yet they are cheaper!

samsung, nokia etc the reason that they got high price tag is because of their names! you're just buying the name of the company! remember the cost of a flagship phone (prior to s4) is around $200+ yet they sell it around $700 up!

so adding a GPU wont hurt or affect the price at all!

especially that the GPU that symbian uses is the broadcom one, and it concentrates on low end (low power mobile)http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VideoCore

if only Nokia is marketing WP for Premium/High end device and Symbian for Beginner/Entry level device. they should dump S40 and further develop Symbian for feature-type phones.
