Might just get this because, well...it's Nokia. A company that makes very sexy yet intuitive phones. A larger N8 body, dual-core cpu, Belle OS, and a ginormous camera optical sensor, I think I know what to spend my dead presidents on!

Symbian isn't dying until Nokia decides not to support it anymore.. A mobile OS can't just vanish into thin air, if so BB OS would have been history.

Please just give it physical call/disconnect buttons... the single button below the screen is my biggest peeve with the N8, and why the C7 works better as a phone (especially when using it as an alarm clock or needing to interact with the phone while in one's pocket, such as declining a call), and one of the things I wish that WindowsPhone would incorporate
So either give it a bigger N8 or C7 body (or the Lumia 900) with physical call/disconnect buttons, nice big HD screen, and LTE/HSPA+ capability, and I'll put my money down right now

Given the unpopularity of Nokia phones, especially Sym^3 smartphones in recent times, I reckon this will launch and drop to ~$300 in a matter of months. If the N8 is any indicator, at that point it'll make an awesome replacement for my P&S camera: great quality stills and video, plus all the functions of a competent smartphone OS and Nokia's excellent build quality.

After using WP7 I would not consider any Sym^3 handset for my primary phone. But my P&S camera is getting a little bit long in the tooth. It'd be awfully convenient to stick in a data SIM and effectively have a great P&S camera with full access to the online world.

Should start working on how to put their superior camera tech on WP than trying to make a buzz on the next soon to be dead Symbian N8 successor. Part of what made Nokia Nokia was the camera. 99% production and advertisement right now is based on WP. It doesn't tell consumers why they should purchase a Nokia running WP. I believe if Nokia stressed their superior camera and all its options with MS Os social media integration would be a killer. Now if only they start working on putting the super cam on WP.

Thank goodness it is not a WP7 phone. Only Symbian deserves to produce a Nokia N8 successor.

Besides, contrary to what the WP7 astroturfers would have you believe, WP7 is the 'burning platform' now. It still has a single-digit % market share. Retailers and telcos worldwide are hardly enthused about it. A lacking library of apps.

I'm all for Nokia producing quality WP7 phones. What I abhor is Nokia betting its fortunes on an unpopular and unproven mobile OS. Why not be like HTC or Samsung: make a couple of WP7 phones every year, and leave it at that. Sadly, Elop the trojan horse has succeeded in his mission.
