Nokia 5800 XpressMusic at NYC flagship store, but not yet for sale?

The last few weeks we have been reporting on the story of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic as it has made its way from the shipping dock to the Nokia flagship stores. Our sources are telling us that the phones did make it to the retail outlets on Wednesday as expected, but the phones never left the store. Due to a problem with the inventory system, the flagship store in New York City was not able to sell even one unit. Many Hollywood stars do not like to be kept away from their fans, but until this matter gets cleared up, the star of  "The Dark Knight" will have to sit on the shelves, collecting dust. As we suggested the other day, a call to the flagship stores before you go out there could save you gas, time and some frustration.
