Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and N97 can now work with Sony Ericsson Bluetooth watches
Sony Ericsson’s Bluetooth watches are a nifty little accessory to your phone, allowing you to mute incoming calls, receive message alerts and control music playback over Bluetooth. The only problem we encountered with the whole idea was that until recently they only worked with Sony Ericsson’s handsets. That was until SIC! BT-Watch software came into existence.

This freeware application made BT watches compatible with all existing Symbian S60 3rd Edition mobile devices. It had its limitations of course – multimedia function control was nowhere to be seen, but it made up for its shortcomings with some extra features. Probably the most notable of those was the ability to read text messages and e-mail headings right onto the display of the watch, without the need to rummage your pockets in a desperate search of your smart phone. Vibration style alert Calendar and Clock were also available.

Now, the new version 2.2 of SIC! BT-Watch software adds several basic improvements, including Music player key support for FP1 and FP2 devices, faster text scrolling and better battery life when the watch is coupled with certain devices. Probably the most important additions are support for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97 and MBW-200 watch. The application is freely available via WAP-Push.
