Well, does this mean that WPS7 is not part of the deal either? The article says "Windows Mobile" but it could easily mean that WPS7 is not in this category. It would be Sony's setback if they are not giving WPS7 at least a try. If WPS7 is not in the category, it is obvious that there is no any down side for SONY because Windows Mobile is a soon to be stopped OS anyway in the near future.

Zerg (love the name btw), But I have to disagree. If Microsoft positions there new KIN line-up and markets it well for the 12-21 audience it is intended for, that could be a huge success. Then those users, when they grow up, could have a biased toward microsoft product and upgrade from their youth phone and progress to a "grown-up" smartphone and continue with Microsoft products. Apple has been successful utilizing Rubenstein's iPod to attract a younger market which lead a younger generation to buy apple products when they honestly don't need what apple computers provide. It comes down to positioning and marketing and coopoeration with the partners that will develop their products and the pricing schemes designed by the carriers. VZW could make or break the KIN line (my money is on break it). If that happens, I can see WP7 ultimately grabbing a small share of the market in the future. VZW broke Palm's webOS by marketing towards mom's on their network instead of the business users it was intended for. If VZW markets KIN toward only preteen girls, then the older teens won't want it, and the early 20s won't want it. It is crucial it is done successfully. The DROID launch and the Storm launches were very successful for VZW, that is needed for KIN in the US, and Vodafone in the EU. Then similar advertising and marketing will be vital to WP7 success as well.... but again, I see failure where success is foreseeable and a great product that pushes the envelop for smartphones and leaves continued innovation broken a little... sigh....

They never mentioned that Sony wont turn up with "Windows Phone"(The new & main term to refer WP and older term was "Windows Mobile"). So taking this into consideration I still dream about upcoming Sony's WP!!

And Article clearly mentions the end of "Support for prior Windows Mobile(not "WP" again)". So, Keep dreaming "Power of Dreams ~ Honda" {~,^}=="
