No NFC for Apple iPhone 5 say U.K. carriers

Several U.K. carriers are spreading the word that Near Field Communications will be absent from the next version of the Apple iPhone, but could be part of the model produced the following year...

Nfc will be in the iphone 6 and we will be treated to another ad glorifying apple and how they invented the nfc for phones,changing everything again

indeed experts reckon apple will have a version of nfc which works from the iphone through itunes account only,apple will no doubt make much profit through this restriction and thus call it by a different name like ipmfnfc....i pay more for near field communications!!

Apple still seems to be content marketing a consumer phone, as opposed to a professional phone. NFC seems to be a staple more so to professionals, and Apple will happily let other companies eat the cost on developing the tech. I do not think the people who want the next iPhone will worry one second it is not on there. I think it is an interesting tech, and do hope NFC is part of most mobile devices in a couple of years.
