Nexus S random reboot fix expected in 1-2 weeks

Random reboots have plagued the Nexus S for quite a while after itslaunch, but now light is seen at the end of the tunnel as an OTA fixis expected within one to two weeks. A Google employee at thecompany's Mobile Help forum said:

“The initial results of our testslook very promising. At this rate we will most likely be rolling outan OTA to resolve this issue within one to two weeks. We reallyappreciate your patience as we do our final verifications on this fixbefore sending it out.”

Users reported their Nexus S handsets would restart without any apparent reason during longercalls. Unforced reboots were reported during shorter calls as welland even when doing other tasks, but the latter were not thatconsistent. And while the issue was reported almost immediately afterthe handset's launch, it took a couple of months and a closed forumthread for Google to start working on a solution. The latest 2.3.2Android update didn't fix the issue.
