Nexus 4's camera produces purple lens flare, too

Well, we guess nothing is perfect in this world. Not even the Google Nexus 4 by LG, although we can easily forgive its few drawbacks due to the marvelous price Google has attached to it...

Seems like phone OEMs haven't learned much from DSL makers, sometimes trying to get a bigger picture isn't the best way to go. The DSL manufacturers learned this and stopped with the constant megapixel improvements until the tech caught up.

On a side note, I wonder how much of this is caused by phones being thinner? When you factor in lenses and chipsets, it's surprising cameras can take pictures on phones the way they do.

As Bill would say, "I feel your pain..." iPhone5 users.

Phone camera's are nice. but if you are buying a camera that cost

I started taking pix of lights in different settings.. HDR, non HDR ect. I havent been able to reproduce the lens flare yet ?

just put some pictures up on my G+.. looking directly at lights.. auto ajust, HDR, and non auto with brightness the whole way up... not a smidge of flare.. in fact, the auto adjust handles itself well.

Its still a great phone just like the iphone 5 im still planning to get the nexus 4 even with this issue granted i don't know if i want to deem this as an issue or somthing to be creative with either way buy what you want people.

hopefully apple didn't patent the purple lens flare lol.

these purple lense flare pictures remind me of alien abduction photos maybe there aliens dropping at the exact moment we take a picture.
