When it comes to technology, or everything else in life, everyone has their own opinion. No two people are completely the same, and what is cool for one person can be simply boring for another...

If they launch it in local stores then I'm definitely getting one if it is priced between 18k-22k (16 gb).

Is it true what they say, that your goverment is trying in near future to disconnect Iran internet from the outside world?
52. majid_pf (Posts: 7; Member since: 29 Oct 2012)
An interesting thing! Our government has ordered that 128kb is the maximum speed of the Internet for home users!
They have blocked YouTube, Facebook and other social sites.
If you have heard of global sanctions and incompetent our government, our money over the past few months have been pretty worthless. That the cheapest phones and gadgets for our people is too expensive

thank you my dear friend.
I hope you always stay successful.
The Iranian people are friends with all.

How about a Nexus with Nexus 4 specs but with a 4-4.5 inch screen + microSD slot? That would be the perfect phone for me since I don't have the biggest of hands. Maybe made by Sony or HTC?

Michael H.: The lack of a CDMA model stinks NO DOUBT!
But Verizon is really the only large network that uses CDMA... and Verizon isn't even in the top 10 largest networks in the world. I mean there's vodaphone, Airtel, china mobile and Germany T-Mobile. Yes the United States probably purchases more smart phones than any other country or at least a good amount (I don't know if thats true). But maybe that was because Smart phones were difficult to purchase since the high price you see a 300 dollar device with these banging specs, it looks like a good deal... Plus don't a lot of countries buy unlocked devices more often than contracts?

besides, verizon doesn't believe in Nexus. they will just lock it down add lots of bloatware. google would never release it to verizon, ever

The lack of a CDMA model sucks for users, sure, but a CDMA Nexus isn't really a Nexus device as we saw with the Galaxy Nexus. The code can't be fully open because of the proprietary network keys, and Verizon delays the updates for "testing".
Google wants the Nexus to be an inexpensive unlocked phone, and that's not possible with Verizon. Worldwide, an unlocked HSPA+ device is a great option. The only people who will miss out are Sprint and Verizon customers.

I agree with Michael the most.
I like John's reviews but i kinda wish he would share more of his personal opinion in them.
To Ray, have you seen the Optimus G? That thing is the best looking phone i ever seen.
To Scott and Max, I agree, Nexus 4 should have had LTE If Google was trying to push for cloud storage. ( LTE and Cloud Storage go hand in hand) I Also belive Verizon and Sprint are the ones using the wrong networks then the rest of the world. The US is not there only market, Especially when alot of US user are really into the Overpriced iPhones and know no better.

all bias views aside i think its great we got to hear from multiple users. I would also like to say ray is right people don't use half the functions and generally get the iphone because its a name brand and they were directed to an android phone in the past with low specs and was compared to an iphone which with minimalistic tasks being performed looked like the best thing ever. but i think they're going to be awesome devices i will be honest because of LG's prior track record i'm a little hesitant we all know how the optimus 2x and G2X ended up but sammy vouched for them and its always worth trying plus the price point is awesome next downside is no sd card while there are those who have no idea they even have one its great when they go into a store need to replace a phone and find that they do have their photos and can be easily placed on their new device cloud storage of all features is still new and most people don't take time to upload don't get me wrong its a great option but i see it everyday the lay person forgets 30 percent of whats showed to them so i'm a bit leary about that. Other cons for nexus 10...its not in my hands right now lol

What is so ground breaking about a $299 and $399 phone without a contract? You can buy an SII or SIII off contract or iPhone 4S on eBay. The problem I see is that there is no LTE support, 8GB and 16GB storage options, no SD support, and only TMobile and ATT are beneficiaries. IMO, this is a device taking the approach similar to Boost or Virgin. Do you really think people will shell out $399 for a 16GB device, in which you can get an 64GB iPhone 5 on contract that retains its market value well? How much will this phone be next year? About $150-$250. Not much. Apple plans on making the 4 or 4S off contract price around the same price.
Personally, people have to be really stupid to commit to a phone like this without thinking that they can't buy a more capable device on eBay that will provide them freedom without a contract as well.
The Nexus 10 does look promising. However, HD app availability is a downfall. There are ton of smartphone apps on the Android tablet. I love the quote by John Lagerling, director of business development for Android,
"Q:Most of the apps in the Google Play store are for phones, not for tablets. How many are there for tablets?
A.I don’t have a number for how many apps are properly adding those APIs that you need to put fully to use the extra screen real estate. What I can say is that the Nexus 7 has been a superstrong catalyst to kick off developers’ attention to making those expansions, so we’ve seen tremendous growth in apps for the larger screen size. The trending is very positive because of the Nexus 7."
In other words, I will find out when we reach a number that is near 100,000 to make a quote. Its probably somewhere around 20,000 that are optimized.
I am an android and apple guy. Have had many devices, but to make these devices sound like there ground breaking is absolutely absurd. Off contract prices and Retina display is not enough to convince me to buy. The iPad 3/4 are cable of holding their own in screen quality and processing speed against the Nexus 10. Remember its software/apps that creates the experience and not the hardware. Regarding the Nexus 4, I would rather buy a SIII or Note2. Regardless if you get updates immediately, but anything less than 16GB is a wasted device. You can't do anything beyond 50 apps or less, let alone use Dropbox for your pics. This is certainly a cloud device.

name an android tablet better than the nexus 10...

The day Apple releases an iPhone off contract for $300 is the day they will stop suing companies.
Its not going to happen.
