Cue the drum roll for the new king in tablet display resolution – the Google Nexus 10. Manufactured by Samsung, the device packs a screen panel with a resolution of 2560 by 1600 pixels, which is jaw-dropping no matter how you look at it. But how does the tablet compare to other high-ends out there?...

N10 is cheaper, and hence much more appealing. Economy worldwide is still not great, so folks are thinking with their wallets; it's easier to justify a $400 luxury than a $600 one, especially as that $200 can go a long way towards gas and groceries and such

Its not obsolete, the GPU is the best out. The CPU isn't that bad, and the battery life is great! and the Nexus 10 has a duel core CPU, too.

Cheaper, but also more features, and an undeniably better CPU. The iPad has the better GPU, but it's not a gigantic margin. The chipsets are tied of the CPU and GPU are equally valued for performance, and the Nexus 10's screen is at least as good as the iPads, so you're paying 100$ extra for cold metal, extra weight, and extra girth, and the only plus being a slight edge in battery life.

You mean to say all Apple users are happy?
Definitely no, they are closed to say anything because of the high pricy devices.
Also how many complaints you have seen from a person having Nexus devices, don't consider low end devices, its like having a hen and expecting it to do like Dragon.
Take the benchmark devices or Nexus devices and see the satisfaction from users.

Apparently the iPhone 4s has higher customer satisfaction ratings than the iPhone 5. The Droid RAZR HD has a higher customer satisfaction rating than any iPhone on Verizon currently, just check. Oh, and that's WITHOUT JB, once JB is out for it it should have no trouble staying above the iPhone 5.

The Nexus 10 is ridiculously cheap and has a ridiculously awesome OS, screen, processor, and GPU. I'm usually really fair, but the Nexus 10 smokes everything, even my Infinity.
However, it doesn't have a keyboard dock. >:D

If Google could somehow market this device like how Samsung does with the S3, many people will know how good this tablet is. Otherwise, it will be unknown, save for the people that research and buy products based on functionality instead of a logo.

Give GOOG credit here for pricing, because everyone knows that iPad 3 will be on-sale soon for you guessed it, $399, which essentially is the Nexus 10 prime competitor. The folks that should be scratching their heads are those who just per ordered an iPad mini or iPad 4. Granted, if you have invested in the iOS ecosystem for years and years one can respect said folks for staying true to Apple, but the mini and the iPad 4 are rip offs plain and simple new dual core silicon be damned and Apple knows that as well. The wise buyer, like yours truly was sitting back patiently waiting for the iPad 3 to drop in price as history shows Apple traditionally does when it introduces new hardware. But the Nexus 10 gives me pause in that, I can get more for my same $400 I was going part with anyway. Also, as for as no Micro SD storage being a "Con" consider this, GOOGLE stores all of your Music, and Movies in the cloud for free for playback on a speedy connection. Apple match and iCloud works well but they are not free! Besides, If i could store my 100 gig multimedia collection on one device, I wouldn't want too anyway. That's entirely too many eggs in one basket. I surmise that Apple will eventually have price parity in the coming years, because the competition continues to eat their lunch and that my friends is called a death by a thousand cuts.

Consider also that US carriers screw you on 4g data plans. Still think a lack of an SD card is not a negative? BRB streaming a 4gb library for a day then waiting til next month or paying $1 per mb thereafter

I would be very interested to hear why the SD card keeps getting overlooked. I would guess carriers want it that way to continue to overcharge for data. Soon, google will expand into that realm too like theyre digging into fiber optic internet in KC.

Oh I see one place where iPad 4 wins, Bluetooth :D
See the thickness, size, power.. Awesome Google & Samsung, did a great job in designing and pricing. I would say little marketing is enough for people who are non-tech, for others Android lovers will promote, I'm happy that I suggested 4 devices to few of my friends (3 Nexus 7 and 1 Samsung Galaxy Nexus) they are much happy with it. But the sad part is I'm having a iPad 2 :(

To you think the a6x can manage to get a higher gpu score even though its a5x still manages to beat anything out there even the adreno 320

2/3 for the A6X but 3/3 for the A15 and Tegra 3? That makes no sense. These comparisons are just silly, especially when several of the boxes are blank because they don't know what goes there yet.

You guys are forgetting that the price of the Nexus 10 may seem appealing, but have far less optimized apps.

200,000 vs. ???? Android apps.

Look at this...http://www.informationweek.com/software/enterprise-applications/google-seeks-better-android-tablet-apps/240008751

Apple should sustain their business market with the iPad mini and retina very well. Look at the projected total shipments that won't effect the iPad until 2016.

Keep in mind iOS is very entrenched in school districts and companies over Android. Android is an experimental/enthusiasts tablet meant for the consumer. If they can't get a grasp app quality control and provide a business focus, Google will be a failed tablet planned product.

Brag about having a 300ppi display and its price point over the iPad, but the software is as good as their hardware. The only feature I see promising is the support for Miracast. This is an Airplay wannabe. However, I am interested to see what Airplay II may look like.

thats what you get for being open source with no direction! :)

and besides android isnt really made for school or normal people... coz android is use by tech geeks and people who likes customizing!!!

thats why i suggest people who want to try linux for a change... instead of windows 7... they should try and install zorin OS! its a linux but will let you feel that you're still on windows 7/XP!

Isn't the Nexus 10 quad core??

Nope, it's duel core, but A15 makes it much faster than the competition. The quad core GPU may also help too.

Is it even a fair competition though? I mean, if the simple spec sheet isn't enough, the benchmarks should show the Nexus 10's superiority: Geekbench it gets 2300-2450, compared to 1700-1800 on the iPad, and 1950 for the Asus. However, the GPU's are really where performance is needed when dealing with resolutions like these tablets have. So lets take a look. On GLBenchmark 1080p (off screen) The Nexus 10 comes in at 36fps, the iPad 4th gen gets 51, and the Asus gets a measly 13fps. So, the Nexus 10 wins one benchmark, and the iPad 4th gen wins another.
