Nextel prepares the high-level i880 phone

The first photos of the new Motorola i880 iDEN phone surfaced on the Internet. From what they show, it seems that the i880 is a small phone with stylish design. Its speakerphone is on the front shell and not on the back of the device, and it has music-dedicated keys there, below the external color display. The phone actually features two speakers and even a “subwoofer” to enjoy music without the need of headphones. The memory of the phone can be expanded with microSD cards. The phone in the pictures seems to be in dark-chrome metallic color with blue backlighted keypad, keys and Motorola logo. There is no information on its features, but as an iDEN phone it will support GPS and PTT.
