ok, I see there is confusion among the masses, courtesy of PHONE ARENA - the new iphone will have the normal AT&T SIM slot and will also have a microSD memory card slot - 2 entirely different things, other than the fact they both hold data.....lol

you know what that's actually a possibiltiy but remember it will have at least 64gb of memory who needs a micro sd card if you got that much memory on ur phone. Now I'm tired of hearing the fact that people believe that the iphone will stay on at&t . Yes it will but it doesn't make since for apple to let Android phones rule the mobile world because android is an os an it runs on thousands of phones but iphone runs a mac os its only logical they will make more iphones and or phones that have slightly different names to compete. It will happen real soon I just wish people would be open to the fact that anything can happen this summer with phones.

Eventually the iphone will be on all carriers in the US. It makes sense for apple to make 3 times the money they are making now, except a deal has to be struck with the carrier as to how much the carrier will subsidize the phone. Again, this phone does not have a micro-sim card slot - it is a micro-sd slot for memory not for talking to the network - like an actual SIM card does. Dealing with ITUNES is a pain....

If it did have a micro-SD card then it mayight very well be a prototype for the LTE 4G network....of course, apple does not think that far ahead....

Technology is movin too fast on all fronts for the iPhone to have the huge jumpstart on the rest. Other companies have caught up and maybe even surpassed what Apple once pioneered. WebOS and Android are on par with Apple's OS. The days are gone of iPhone vs. LG Voyager. Snapdragon processor is Apple's worst nightmare. iPhone vs HD2? iPhone vs. Incredible? iPhone vs. EVO? All 4 equally nice devices and I would carry each one. The gap has closed...and HTC has a lot to do with it. Everybody is general now...Blackberry OS 6.0 and Windows Phone 7 are also bein predicted as a powerhouse and revolutionary...so sorry Apple you created a monster and that monster is now comin for you. Only OS' that are fallen by the waist side may be Nokia's Symbian and Samsung's Bada but even those may gain momentum.
