Days after pulling the plug on its webOS hardware and offering the TouchPad tablet at fire sale prices, PCMag.com is reporting that HP will not sell the Pre 3 handset in the U.S. but will offer the smartphone in France and the U.K. for $75, unlocked...

Geeez, glad I got my Touchpad. I don't think I'd want a Pre3 anyway though. It's a shame, I saw those leaked photos of an Pre with a huge screen and no keyboard and I got excited. That's all gone, what potiential it had.

So the phone which WebOS fans have been eagerly waiting for in the US probably won't see the light of day here, but will sell unlocked in Europe for $75.
