Newest update for the HTC ThunderBolt is still missing ICS

The newest update for the device (version 2.11.605.19 710RD) should be rolling out at any time, but looks to be just a routine maintenance release. This 61MB update fixes issues with data connectivity, Yahoo! Mail, and Mobile Hotspot, supports Cisco Any with VPN, and is now enabled with the Wireless Alerting System.

I highly doubt the Thunderbolt will receive ICS until later this year, possibly fall. I say this because HTC needs to focus on getting ICS out to all the dual-core devices like the 3D on Sprint and the Rezound on Verizon before getting to the older devices. Not to say that I wouldn't love to see the T-Bolt update sooner, but I'm thinking it's not gonna happen anytime soon.

I was excited thinking it might have been the ICS update, but I hsould have looked here first and then wouuldve know it was just a silly update. I thought by chance this update would resovlve an issue I have w/ my phone but still no go. My issue is with the front facing camera, it just doesnt work anymore. I have many times cleared the data of the app, taken the battery out and rebooted. I had it back up and running after doing it, but then somehting happend, and it stopped working. Tempting to root it since ppl are telling me it will fix it. Any thoughts on here?
