I hope the Storm2 screen is also "non scratch"!

This looks like a massive improvement over the original.

Why are some of you guys having a prob with this also being on at&t, I mean, don't blame the carrier, blame RIM if anything, but even so, I'm glad it's happening because attetion on the iPhone will begin to fade, and we might get a nice Android phone on the carrier...say, uhm...the Hero? =/

31. behold--me posted on 23 Aug 2009, 15:30

WHY U GUYS MAD THE STORM IS COMIN TO ATT? (just like how artz1986 said) stop gettin all pissed about it and b glad and i don't think the hero is goin to att.

34. artz1986 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 22:24

It's probably not, but I might be moving to the UK, so I guess I'm with Orange, or get one unlocked.....

Would you children pls grow up. First of all the 1st storm wasnt crap. It had its issues sure but it was still a solid device. As far as people complaining about updates to the storm them being made that is, what about the upgrades made to computers I dont har any complaints about them people are glad to get them so there computer will operate better. As far as VZW getting the iphone rumor control has it that theyll have it about august of next year if Apple can get there heads out of there collective A@#$#.

Hilarious bickering, considering AT&T's network is so shot in my area, I have a dead zone just down the street. The Blackberry OS is still one of the smoothest out there, capable of balancing business with pleasure, appropriately. I thought the Storm had potential; the browser was the best for BB, the camera interface was solid, media looked great on the screen, the feel of the phone was well-weighted and assuring in quality. Failure came to optimization, but it was a first-gen product. SurePress, most of all, needed to be tweaked. Too much movement and abyssmal sensitivity, but I keep thinking I can highlight what I am about to press on other phones without actually triggering a shortcut. So, they did something right.

If you guys don't want to get the Blackberry Storm 2 for AT&T, then get it for Verizon. Simple as that.

26. behold--me posted on 23 Aug 2009, 15:20

vz is prob better considering att's speed. the slowest of the 4 majors

32. Jyakotu posted on 23 Aug 2009, 21:48

I mean, RIM chose to make both a GSM and CDMA version of the Storm 2. I bet if Verizon knew that the Apple iPhone would garner this much success they wouldn't have turned it down.

i love my storm! :-). no probs at all.

33. Imaxxacre posted on 23 Aug 2009, 22:12

Looks cool. I can't afford a data plan anyway though.

35. VSS_55 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 22:29

There has been no rumor of ATT or anything getting the Storm2, i'd be more inclined to think hes assuming since ATT is the only real GSM carrier, (oh wait i cant forget T-mo*ha ha ha ha ha* i almost managed to say it). The GSM version is more likely going to Canadian GSM carriers and over to europe. I doubt ATT's getting it.

I'm hoping that the release of the Storm 2. VZW will keep the Storm 1 around for a bit. I know when new phones come out that are upgrades to current models the price drops. My upgrade is March 2010. Will the Storm 1 still be available at this time?

I think its kind of ironic that they're pushing technology toward making touch screens feel more and more like physical buttons.

39. Osukaru posted on 24 Aug 2009, 16:26

Yep, thats why i just stick with well.... PHYSICAL BUTTONS! Eventually its gonna be a touch screen that is made of physical buttons lol. just seethrough buttons that are part of screen
