I think that it is crap that AT&T gets to get Verizon's Storm when Verizon can't even get the iPhone, fair trade? Not! What is up with that?

2. VZWfangirl posted on 23 Aug 2009, 00:05

Well they missed out on the Tour so I guess its fair to give them the Storm. Its more of a blow to not have the Tour as the majority prefer a physical keyboard anyway.

6. techie123 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 05:17

Yeah its not a fair trade... However, it will highlight which carrier people prefer. I'm betting that VZW sales of this phone will be at least double ATT sales of this phone. Don't you think?

10. gba2000 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 09:21

yea, because the majority of people will want the iPhone, of course Verizon will sell more storms

hmcougar09- i think they are giving them it cause it is still a bad phone, and they try copying the iphone with the opening instead of just changing pictures. its not a fair trade on atts part cause they get the good phones and verizon gets bad phones. screw them though. storm 2 gsm and cdma then like the tour? VZWfangirl- the tour is on the table and the storm is in the trash 30 ft away. it doesnt even come close to the tour. the tour is like they savior now like the iphone was for att and the g1/g2 was for t mob, and instinct, instinct 2, and palm pre ALL were, but failed.Im with t mobile and the tour is the only cdma phone i want to atleast use cause i loved the bold and javelin. i hate when people say its a mix of a bold and storm...that makes it a bad, laggy phone! techie123- You are right about the sales cause it has a sim card. no need for att unless your upgrading. people complain about the click screen and go straight to iphone. i think the versa is better than that. and i HATE lg.but thats such a nice phone. and if its not a fair trade, then why do you say vzw would atleast double in att sales? thats like saying it IS a fair trade.... gba2000- amen to that, brotha

AT&T got the Blackberry Bold though didn't they? Is that not the Tour or a similar handset? In fact, I think AT&T was the first to get the handset from RIM. So, I don't think they missed out at all.

i cant believe it, when the first storm came out, verizon got it. it was a failure at 1st until recent updates and then the 2nd storm come out. the storm 2 is going to be better than the original one and att got it. i mean verizon had to live with a crappy phone at the begining and then when the 2nd one comes out att gets it. shouldnt the iphone be for verizon then? storm was exclusive for verizon i think and then the storm 2 isnt? isnt fair!

The storm sucks anyway...its not nearly as fast as the iphone...i just bought an iphone this past Sunday and can finally see what all the hype is about...its clearly the best phone out on the market and no phone can match it...although i havnt used the palm pre yet..based on some reviews im sure the iphone still remains king..oh and i actually hope that verizon does get the iphone because being an att customer, i am sick and tired of hearing this coverage bull that verizon is so much better (coverage available is really based on where you live)...so maybe att would then improve their coverage to get ahead in the competition...i definately think that their network is already faster...and for people complaining about att getting the storm, before the storm came out, RIM sold the most handsets on att...so y shouldnt they get more Blackberry devices??? call me biased i really dont give a f*ck...

How fast is your MMS Feature ?? LoL .

8. Osukaru posted on 23 Aug 2009, 09:06

How about running that IM app in the background while u surf the net?

19. matistight posted on 23 Aug 2009, 11:03

if your smart, JAILBREAK, put in the apn, and bam! mms for att and t mob

20. matistight posted on 23 Aug 2009, 11:04

jailbreak and download backgrounder... ACTUALLY now theres push so you can do that....its called research...DO IT!

27. vzw fanman posted on 23 Aug 2009, 15:25

you shouldn't have to "jailbreak" a phone to have those simple features dude! and the majority of iphone owners have no clue how to do that nor have the time.

what about sprint??? why does sprint ALWAYS get shafted when it comes to good phones?! ugh.

9. ace1122 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 09:16

What about the Pre?

11. LGVX1993 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 09:25

And the upcoming HTC Hero? And wasn't Sprint the first to get the Touch Pro in America last year? And they just got the Tour recently.

12. realism121 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 09:40

eh...the pre is ok. i was super excited before it came out...but then once i got a chance to play with it, i really wasn't that impressed. i AM somewhat excited for the Hero, but a lot of the reviews i've read say that the processor really REALLY lags. so that's got me a little worried :-/

14. panacea224 posted on 23 Aug 2009, 10:06

Actually HTC has just released a new firmware that eliminates all that lag. So the sprint version shouldn't have any issues with lag.

21. matistight posted on 23 Aug 2009, 11:06

ace1122 and LGVX1993 just proved that sprints gets the good phones handed out last and never gets really good phone....
