New version of Pinterest Lens offers recipes based on full dish recognition

Pinterest's Lens tool is available to everyone in the United States since March. The feature received many improvements in the coming months, but one of the most significant additions has been announced today.

The Lens tool can now provide users with recipes whenever it recognizes a dish. The option wasn't available until today, as Pinterest Lens could only offer food recipes based on the individual ingredients.

With the new ability, Pinterest Lens users can now recreate meals, so the next time they like a dish they ate at their favorite restaurant, they can cook it at home.

Furthermore, Pinterest users can filter their searches to find recipes by time, diet and the ingredients they have at their disposal. On top of that, the developers have added a star rating system that will allow users to see how a recipe has turned out for those who've already made it.

The new improvements will be rolled out to both Android and iOS devices. If you already have Pinterest installed on your handset, you must update to the latest version to benefit from these new features.
