New update for Google Maps includes directions for bicycles
Share:
A minor update to Google Maps is now available that gives directions for bicycle users in the U.S. as well as presenting a short cut for friends to share locations. A new layer on the maps will show dedicated bike trails (dark green), roads with bike lanes (light green) and roads that are good for biking (dashed green lines). A share button will allow the user to share locations with others while a new navigation icon allows a short cut to be added to the desktop. Available in the Android Market as a free download, users must be running Android 1.6 or higher.
