this is true because teens change phones more often than girlfriends so it makes perfect sense that they choose Android. phones are not supported by their carriers in about the same time (6 months) so they will go with a flashy big screen instead of a phone that will last longer and supported by a manufacturer

Uh that's just flamebait, saying the iPhone IS your grandma's phone. I know PhoneArena has a post quota and all that, but how frivolous can you go? There's a higher percentage of older people with iOS over Android, that's the only thing you can take away from the survey, which in of itself doesn't mean much. Here's some more than credible reasons why there would be some decrepancy that this fancy article failed to even mention. 1: iOS is older than Android. The app selection speaks for itself. IT's been around in other words. 2: You completely ignore income. Young people are the most broke. There are free and low-cost Android phones everywhere, even sub $100 no-contract phones on regional carriers. The smartphone version of burn phones run Android. I don't have to tell you this, but old people have more money. 3: Almost every celebrity on the planet has an iPhone, and uses Apple products. In what universe do you live in where it somehow is not "cool" to have an iPhone? It's a compliment if a grandma like Betty White is using your phone. I watch shows like the Colbert Report and Jimmy Fallon and every night they are either waving their iPhones around or fake typing on their Macbook Pro. There's some Fox News worthy delirium in the author of this post. I don't think you take sides either way, but you sure like to waste time stirring the bees nest.
