I'm not going to lie, that was actually pretty cool. I wish I was that smart. :(

That video almost made me want that giant phone... Then I remembered that I will not do anything like that... In the end, I will have to carry it all day. And I carry things in pockets!

No thanks...

Well, yes thank you and Samsung. I will be getting mine bright and early this Thursday morning just as soon as the doors open at Verizon. That video was the coolest; I just tried that with my iPhone 4 (great music player) and now I have 'Liquid' damage!!

23. Dr.Phil posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:31 13

You must have small pant pockets. May I ask if you wear girl jeans? If so, that may be your problem.

24. PAPINYC (limited) 4 days ago posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:38 7

Oh no you "di-n't"!!

rotflol.....

25. redsox420 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 20:43 2

LMAO.. .. Skinny Girl jeans no doubt.. Also probably small hands, hence the jeans..Sad really..

I just picked this beauty up a few days and WHOA what a monster. It really isn't that heavy and with the flip cover that is also a battery cover you can't go wrong.

The Note II is not a dainty phone by any means. This is for men. Men who don't mind lugging around big items. If you want a small phone, get a European Leather Carry-All which can also house your lip-balm, keys and whatever else you want to carry.

28. cretinick posted on 27 Nov 2012, 22:15 1 1

I do not want a small phone. But I want a phone, not a tablet. I hope to get the Nexus 4 as soon as Google and LG normalize their stocks and fix the small bugs that are appearing in the first batch. Maybe even a 32GB version in early 2013...

But you can take your lip thing in your European purse with that giant phone if you want... Go for it!

26. JC557 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 21:00 2

Damn hipsters... it's no wonder they like the fruity phone...

27. cretinick posted on 27 Nov 2012, 21:55 2

No, man ... actually I hate tight clothes.
But I will not use a mini tablet in my pocket just because Samsung is saying is Magic. Likewise I do not buy the smaller iPhones just because Apple says it's the ideal size.

lol.. they're just f**kin around i think..
but well said, to each his own i say!

A new magic for a new, post-Apple religion of scientific techno-masturbation under the sign of Samsung as the new Messiah.

The success of Note II is only because of it being a opposition to "religion" of Apple, by being another religion of "innovation" and "cool stuff that I use for my creativity and productivity".

6. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:45 5

true.........but is it a "bad thing"? im not sure yet, im leaning more towards its just another excuse to promote sales....and give people a sense of false justification in order to make them feel as if they made the "right" choice in making the purchase....

In other words........ these things are really unnecessary but is it a bad thing to see people take what we cannot stop (the moving of technology), as of now, and make the most of it?

maybe it is maybe it isnt.......who knows but God

8. AppleConspiracy posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:48 5 1

It's irrelevant if it's a bad thing or a good thing. It's neither of both. It's just a mechanism.

11. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:59 4

yes but "mechanisms" can be used for a positive or negative thing, such as fullfiling ones own selfish desires!.....so thats why i asked, not really thinking YOU had the answer but just to put the question out there.....

13. AnTuTu posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:00 6 2

Xperia-Knight :- You just shut the f**k up and get the hell out of here.

14. XPERIA-KNIGHT posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:06 1 7

with all do respect its not up to you if i get put out or not.......

19. SleepingOz posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:55 7

Totally! First, he came with BS like; 5.5" is just too big and S-Pen and its bundled S-Apps are just gimmicks and totally pointless. Then he claimed that the GNOTE II success is only due to Samsung fans who already bought the GSIII and now ruining themselves to buy the GNOTE II just to support Samsung. And now this! Seriously.. smh..

20. Oxygen posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:00 2

I LOL'D !!!

17. SleepingOz posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:43 4

Such a butthurt hater.. Aren't tired of trolling each and every Samsung articles already?

3. PhenomFaz posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:43 6

Truly I dont think even Sammy realises that this is their actual flagship rather than the S3. This phablet is the best thing since sliced bread!

4. Nathan_ingx posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:44 5

Note II is one of my favorite from Samsung...and i believe there's more to it than just this.

5. FoxDavis posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:45

That was a cool video, makes me want to get one of those instead of waiting for the Nexus 4... Waiting over 3 hours like everyone else is kind of stupid.

7. KingKurogiii posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:47 6

that's what i like about companies like Google & Samsung, they like to do stuff like this for fun and science unlike Apple that just stays real reserved and only does it for the $$$.

9. AppleConspiracy posted on 27 Nov 2012, 17:50 5 2

Fortunately, Google and Samsung don't do it for the money. This was not a commercial. Not at all.

32. KingKurogiii posted on 28 Nov 2012, 00:40

yeah, because it hardly even focuses on the Note II. these were Samsung Engineers just being creative using their technology. if you're creative and knowledgeable enough you can do what they did with any smartphone. all they did with the Note II is look at a picture and slide their fingers across the display which made the impressive water pump invention work.

33. AppleConspiracy posted on 28 Nov 2012, 02:21 1

I was being sarcastic. Of course it's a full commercial focused on Note II and Samsung. Of course they want only money just like Apple.

34. KingKurogiii posted on 28 Nov 2012, 03:26

i actually knew you were. if you're trying to make a point you're not doing very well at it. elaborate some more on what you're trying to say. the fact is this is not a commercial, it's a short documentary walking us through the process of how a group of Samsung Engineers came up with this creative invention with some Note II promo action going on (what company wouldn't?) it was an interesting video. if this was a commercial then this would've been the most involved and least product exposing one in their whole multi-million dollar marketing campaign yet. this was meant to open minds to the wonders of creativity and modern technology. Apple never does anything like this. just a few short T.V. spots that just quickly shows you something about what your money is going to get you from them which isn't a bad thing but i like to see companies like Samsung do more stuff like this that does more than just market their products.

35. AppleConspiracy posted on 28 Nov 2012, 07:02 1

Frankly, I haven't encountered someone naive as you are for years... you don't know much about marketing, do you?

37. KingKurogiii posted on 28 Nov 2012, 15:30

apparently you're implying that i'm not so how about you explain it to me. how is any of what i just said wrong?

38. AppleConspiracy posted on 28 Nov 2012, 17:15 1

If you want explanation, you'll get it.

The video in this article is a textbook example of contemporary marketing.

The goal of this marketing is not to say directly "hey, buy our device", but to identify target groups with the content that is currently most valued and apparently has nothing to do with commercial but with some "other" activity, science and technology in our case. Most known recent achievement in this kind of marketing, and also a proof that this is the best marketing - is Felix Baumagrtner's jump from space, which gave us the illusion it's not about energy drinks under the Red Bull brand.

In our case, the main target of Samsung's promotion is a geek community with high-conscious IT knowledge, and Note exemplifies precisely this category. The strongest marketing symbol of Samsung and at the same time the most powerful thing that enables them to be largest mobile device manufacturer int he world, is exactly the opposition to Apple, and they are using the fact that Apple is now signified as "uninnovative", "boring", "expensive" etc. This is where Samsung's marketing is aimed. They are doing precisely those things for which Apple is hated now: science, progress, innovation, experimentation, possibilities for productivity, creativity etc.

So this is the pure example of marketing, to give us impression that something else is going on, in something we learned to like - science, innovation, creativity - and all that sponsored by Samsung, After all, in the end of the video, there is Galaxy Note II direct commercial. So, don't tell me it's not. You're just naive, that's all.

39. KingKurogiii posted on 28 Nov 2012, 18:16

you're partially right but there is more going on here than just marketing. Samsung is inspiring people to be more creative and artistic today when the possibilities for creative expansion are endless with modern technology. Google Doodles is another good example. that's not something Google really gets anything from, it's just something neat they do for the people to get a kick out of. it just seems like you'd be in a funner atmosphere working for companies like Google or Samsung unlike Apple which seems like the kind of company that wouldn't let you see the light of day if they had the choice to. i'd rather buy products from companies that want to connect with me on the levels that Google and Samsung does.

Why is this guy getting thumbed down? Economics 101, businesses exist to make money... I thought this was an excellent explanation.

12. ElektronicGeek91 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:00 8

I am a proud owner of the Note ll.

18. SleepingOz posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:45

Same here! Now, I have to figure out how they build this tank.

15. mas11 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:15 1

Another reason the Note II should have received a 10

16. InspectorGadget80 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 18:29

SIMPLY AWESOME!

21. JGuinan007 posted on 27 Nov 2012, 19:11

Where can I get a tank like that?

29. Immolate posted on 27 Nov 2012, 22:29 2

If the Note had a 1080p screen, it would have been a 10. I think it got a fair mark.

Mine comes in on Thursday. I can't wait!
